I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this ice cream shop. Their ice cream tastes like it's made from powder, especially when you add minimal toppings. It seems like they rely on toppings to mask the quality issues of the ice cream itself, but why should we spend so much money on these toppings? To make matters worse, the amount of toppings they provide is very meager, making the overall ice cream experience very poor. I am very disappointed with this ice cream shop, and I will not be coming back.

The kids loved it and we went on a Monday so they had their Oreo flavor for only $6 unlimited toppings! I liked that toppings weren't extra so the kids could "go crazy" and still enjoy it. This is the kids new favorite spot to go after we eat out in Newark. We came about 30 mins before closing and she was still super sweet. One of the kids forgot to order a marshmallow and she was still willing to add it on after having made all of them. She even offered to remake the one with the melted whipped cream but I said it was okay. I appreciate that she offered to remake the whole thing rather than just apologize and move on. Overall 10/10 I like that I can order on the screen so I don't feel rushed looking through all the toppings or feeling stuck talking to a cashier with my anxiety.

I remember when this place was all the buzz when it first opened. They had a cool new concept, great flavors (RIP berry squad), and a decent price (around $6 a cup with unlimited toppings). The only thing that hasn't changed is their great flavor, but it's no longer worth it. The price is now (January 2024) $12 a cup, they charge an extra $0.50 for drizzle, and another $4.50 if I wanted to split the cup in two to share. The cup of ice cream that once cost $6 is now $17. Blame it to inflation, increased wages, or new management, but I'm not coming back until I can get a free cup on my birthday. Until then, peace out Icicles.

Lots of fun here! And they have wonderful vegan nondairy ice cream. It all has a coconut base and it’s scrumptious. And it’s very creative here.Vegetarian options: They don’t just have vegetarian options they have vegan options!

One star because we were asking for an empty cup to share with our toddler and was told that we will be charged $4.50 for it. Yes, four dollars and fifty cents, not 50 cents which would be a bit more reasonable. They said its policy from their new management. I really don't understand why. It's not like they have free refill or anything. I don't think that's good treatment of customers who have reasonable requests.

These folks are ripping their customers off. Imagine being asked to pay $4.75 for an empty cup (for my young kids) even after buying $100 worth of ice cream. That's Icicles in Newark for you. I can understand being charged for extras but almost $5 for a measly paper cup is insane. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
