The dosa size is quite small and the side chutneys are not impressive. Overall, the food doesn’t justify the visit — you can easily skip this place.

Restaurant is tucked away in a quiet corner of the mall beside costco. Atmosphere is cozy but can be noisy at times. Food was what you would expect at any south Indian restaurant. Nothing too fancy but not too bad. $14 for a Mysore masala dosa is pricey but that is SF Bay Area for you. Mediocre food at Michelin prices. The chutneys were cold but the sambar was piping hot. Imagine dipping one piece of dosa in chutney and the next one in Sambar. Your palette will.not know what to expect next. Again poorly designed dishes yet prices are high. Sadly, this is the norm in the bay area, so cannot fault this place.

Great location right next to Newark Costco. Plenty of free parking. The food choices are quite extensive given that it is a counter-serve eatery. Not only do you have South Indian staples, you get some great Mumbai street food too.

Food is good, tasty. No issues there. However, they prioritize door dash orders even when you're right there in person ready to eat. We went on a Sat morning, no one there in the restaurant but us. 3 dashers came and picked up their orders which they were making right in front of us, we waited 30 mins for 2 dosas. Completely unacceptable. Definitely not returning. Food is fine, service is terrible.

Chicken dosa and Vada were good; Fries with paneer and gravy on top were average and kind of bland.

Looks like chef has changed. Gini Dosa taste isn't like previous times. Not worth the amount they charge!

I had a wonderful experience at ID Cafe on October 17, 2025, around 7 PM. It was my first visit, and I wasn’t sure what to order, but I wanted to try dosa and idly. The front desk staff was friendly and professional and helped me choose the best dishes. The cafe has a cozy ambiance, and the food was delicious and the dosa was perfectly crispy with a flavorful filling. Damn sure, I will recommend to my friends and family..

Today morning we came to ID cafe for breakfast.We had breakfast combos like everything in one plate(i.eidly,vada,dosa,sweet,pongal)it was awesome I never had it before.

The service was very quick and fast and I tried fliter coffee It was excellent.So you must try this place .I will be here for first time I enjoyed a lot with these food .Thank you for serving such a great food to us.
