Awesome quesabirria

Their pupusas are okay, not a fan of their version of curtido (pickled cabbage slaw). However, the carne asada tacos are okay. Not sure that I'd come back to try anything else at this point. Overall 2.5 stars.

Awesome place! I always get the wet burrito with their hot sauce, which is really hot. I haven’t gotten any of the breakfast plates, but my coworker swears by them.

I've ordered their pupusas and tacos both of which were amazing. Very delicious and worth trying, the couple running the place are such sweet people. Definitely going back, they're open for pick up orders during shelter in place.

Amazing family owned business, who is so sweet! They make you feel so welcome. And the food will make you want to come back for more. My go to is pastor tacos or burritos, and the chicharron bean and cheese pupusas. I definitely need to try other stuff, but it's hard when it's so good! I wish I could write a better review because I don't have the works to express how good their food is.

*Pre-Shelter In Place Visit/Review* Strange name, as in the Monopoly property haha. And it isn't visible anywhere on their menu or signage. Speaking of signage, you won't be able to see it from the street. You have to be in the parking lot to see the space, next door to Rice & Spoon Vietnamese. But inside the small space (maybe can seat a dozen or so), some legit home-style Salvadorean food can be had. Seems to be a family operation but the older lady did all my transactions. She is super sweet and will chat you up like my own grandma/aunts would do. Pupusa Revuletas ($3.50/5*) These are about as good as pupusas get for me. Super fresh masa-like dough is grilled at just the right amount of heat, that it gets slightly charred on the exterior, while the interior remains incredibly tender. Much more supple than say a tamale dough. You can get these stuffed to your liking. From cheese, to some meats to veggies like zucchini or jalapenos. You rarely will see more than 3 things in a Pupusa, so you can't just say "throw the whole kitchen sink in there". Revuletas are stuffed with mashed beans, chicharon and some cheese. It is my favorite Pupusa, as it offers everything I like. You won't get a huge hit of pork, but it is more for flavor. And when I top my Pupusa with Curtido (a tangy cabbage slaw), along with the Salvadorean thin salsa, makes for one of my favorite combo bites. The slaw is crunchy and refreshing, the tomato-y salsa adds a sweet-spicy note that sends this to bombsville. Trust me. Also tried a Caldo de Camaron ($15/4*) which is a Shrimp Soup. The broth is quite tomato-y without making it thick like Cioppino. The shrimps were perfectly cooked, which would indicate that they cook it to order. Nice chunks of potato, carrot and zucchini add hearty appeal. I would of gave it 5* but the broth was so darn spicy. Even after choosing the "mild" option after being asked. I chose mild mostly because it was my first time, and I didn't know their scale for heat. Also if it is too mild, I can always spice it up myself. Cannot do the same in the reverse. This was so spicy that after several sips, it was just too painful to keep going. I could take the smoldering forehead heat, but the sharp mouth sting is what got me. I took half of it home and thinking it would soften up a bit. But nope still crazy spicy the next day. There had to been at least 2 levels of heat. Something like serrano chile for the fresh sharp heat, then some fine red powder for smoldering burn. When I got home, I mostly just ate the shrimp and veggies, those were fine. But to sip the broth was just too much. Just strange on it being so searing, for a requested "mild". Lol But I'm still coming back for Pupusas. May even try a meat entree plate with fried yucca and/or plantains. I grew up with Salvadorean friends, so this food is very comforting to me.

Amazing food! I ordered enchiladas and popusas; beans and cheese and cheese. The cheese ones are super cheesy...sooo good! Definitely will be going back. Best chicken enchiladas I've had in the east bay or Bay Area to be exact. Great customer service, super humble, kind people.

These pupusas are one of the best I ever had! My husband and I ordered veggie pupusas (cheese and jalepeno, cheese and zucchini). Image if we ordered ones with meat. The way they prepare the masa is so good you can really taste the corn flavor, it's not greasy, and i love the way it's nicely crisped on the outside. What really makes this place standout was it's curtido(cabbage slaw). It's so fresh it's different from other curtidos i have tried in other restaurants. We also ordered a grilled fish burrito that was filled with fresh grilled veggies (bell peppers, onions, diced avocado, and mushrooms). This was also delicious but the pupusas is what i will come back. TIP: Like most pupuserias, call in advance and place an order because delicious pupusas take time to make. :) Definitely coming back!

Longer than usual waiting time, but you really can't blame them. The guy working made it a thing to double/triple check what my order was, which was not a problem for the type of place it was. The food comes out tasting like someone made it for you as a guest of their home, and that deserves the rating from me alone.

Best mexican place I've been to in a long time. Owned by a husband and wife and just mouth watering. Home made food and made straight out of their hearts. Coming back in a couple days for sure. I got a papusa and 3 tacos

Came here last night for the first time with my best friend for dinner. We were in the mood to try a new place and we haven't had pupusas in a while, so I decided to yelp a new local place to try and stumbled upon this restaurant. This is a small restaurant at the end of a small strip of stores. It's hard to locate the sign, but if you see a liquor store, you are close. We were the only two people in the around 7 last night. We both ordered 2 pupusas each. I had the zucchini & cheese and the lorocco & cheese. She ordered the revuelta and the lorocco & cheese. Both were AMAZING! Super cheesy and super filling. The curtido (sp?) cabbage thing and sauce that came with it was delicious and if you need more, they will bring you more. On top of the delicious meal, we were given free tortilla chips and choice or either mild or medium salsa. Oh, and the horchata was great too. I will definitely be back! I just want to say thank you to the man and woman that waited on us last night. I know we stayed a little longer than closing time, and they were both nothing but sweet and attentive. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND GREAT MEAL! :)
