Went here on Valentines eve, and had a great time. The long walk to the entrance and the front door is itself calming. This is a cozy spot, with hardly a couple of cars parked on a Tuesday mid afternoon. Asian massage parlor vibes, low lighting. Sake, soft shelled crab, sushi and the teppanyaki experience with spicy chicken and fried rice were spot on. The chef Cupertino was entertaining and fun. Make a reservation and I recommend going with your family or a group of friends. Not sure just being a couple will be as entertaining as group laughter and enjoyment of the fire show.

First time visit: amazing chef and food so amazing that I tipped him $50.00 cash. Later that night I looked at my bill and realized Nijo charged me ANOTHER $48.05 on tip. Take into consideration that there’s only four of us and nobody told us we’re going to get charged an additional 8% on top of the bill, this action makes my tip $95.05 I contacted the manager to request to take that charge off my credit card as I handed a $50 cash tip to the chef and two calls later she told me she CANNOT do it: as the first time visitor this was a horrible experience. IF you decide to visit this restaurant make sure you check your bill with the light on because when you’re celebrating a birthday and you’re having fun, the last thing you look at is the hidden charges correct? The restaurant has dimmed lights and it is so peaceful so use your phone light and review your bill penny by penny. (Unless of course you are rich/millionaire and you don’t mind paying almost $100 on a tip.

We went for dinner here for the teppanyaki. Made reservations for 10. They tried to put us on half side of a table. The chairs were basically right next to each other without any space in between. Of course we asked to be moved which happened after a little discussion. I should have started with when we first got there there was no host for almost 15 min. The service is really nice otherwise. The food was just ok; chicken and steak overdone and dry. Plenty of food though. Overall it just didn’t seem like they pay attention to the smaller details that gets a restaurant a 5 star in my opinion ( for example a number of misspelled items on the menu). The food quality drops it a little bit more.

I always have a great time when I go here with my friends. The food is delicious, and the chef is so nice. I love all the little tricks he does to entertain the guess. Gratuities are added to the bill, which is also convenient.

Firstly when we arrived no one greets you, we had to basically go inside to look for staff. Place looks dark and dirty. Food was ok, not the best. And they added tip themselves 20%. I was going to tip them cash but they chose to do it themselves without even telling us until after they charged our card. Will not go back and do not recommend.
Very nice the chefs would let you change your meal Even after they have the food out and they would sometimes have a conversation with you. Very nice bathrooms, but in the girls' bathroom, there is a light that would be of and on sometimes. My dad even found his ex . The food is somewhat expensive but it's worth it. I got a calamari steak and I loved it ? ?Vegetarian options: There is only one vegetarian option so I would not recommend it to vegetarians.

When our chef was cooking our food, his phone rang & he grabbed it out of his pocket to check who it was & then put it back. This was done all while he was cooking our food. Now im no germaphob, but that really seemed a little unsanitary to me. I myself put my phone down in alot of places & ends up at the bottom of my purse & wherever else, so i know its not exactly sanitary. So i dont like that he did that while touching our food & i definitly dont like that he didnt stop to wash his hands afterwards
