Today was my first time here since I moved a year ago. I've wanted to try this place and finally made it happen. It's a lovely facility, immaculate and the staff is friendly, the prices are right! I tried their Lion King Roll and the Godzilla Roll; they are so delicious and their drinks. I was in a mood for sake bombs and enjoyed it very much; the waiter was very attentive and had good recommendations. I will be a customer from now on. I highly recommend them.

Awesome restaurant was outstanding customer service. This restaurant demonstrate how can you turn into a Ok or even Bad Customer Service into an outstanding customer service.Came here on Wednesday evening around 7 PM. No waiting got seated right away, associates are very friendly. We asked for one hot water and one cold water, and I guess they’re too busy and they forget about it, But eventually they brought 2 hat water and to 2 cold water. So yes, when you forgot what the customer want and the easy way to solve it just to bring a little bit extra, and that totally worked. We ordered California roll, extra spider, something scallop roll, and sashimi salmon. The first waiter who took our order didn’t put into the system, another waitress come and ask if we ordered, we said yes. And five minutes later, the first waiter who took our order came back, He asked about our order again and then input into the system. He apologized and also let us know that he expedite our order. We got everything within maybe 15 minutes, and everything tastes really good. During the whole dinner, he came back and doublecheck to make sure we had everything we need, and also apologize one more time. After we finish our dinner, we asked for to go boxes. He offered a free ice cream and apologized one more time for the wait. And as I always believe customer service is the most important thing, all right, one of the most important things when it comes to restaurants. And it is OK if you make mistakes, everybody does, the most important thing, It’s how you react and make it back, a bad experience could totally be transformed into an outstanding one. That’s why this is a five star. And he totally worth it. Highly recommend! Yes

Went in to order dinner for two on last Friday evening. I did not know I had to pre-order online but the lady was nice to accept my order. Waited around 20min only and they were busy handling pre-orders. The Chirashi and bento box were good and the sashimi were fresh. We've been to Ray's sushi many times when they were in Hayward.

For my birthday, hubby said I can pick any restaurant I like for take out. I decided to pick this place. From reading a few yelp reviews, it says I was supposed to go to Ray's Facebook page and click on a link to place my order (in advance). I glanced through the order form and a few items were missing from the list so I decided to email them my order instead. I ordered the titanic roll, salmon nigiri, lion king roll and a bento (chicken teriyaki, California roll & salmon teriyaki). This was a day before I needed the food. I placed the order roughly around 5pm but didn't get a response until almost 10pm. When someone finally replied, they told me that they don't have salmon teriyaki but they do have salmon shioyaki instead. They said they give me a container of teriyaki sauce on the side if I like. I agreed and proceeded to place my order. Hubby went to pick up our order the next day and when he walked in, there was only one customer there. Hubby told them what our order was and it took them a while before they found our order. When hubby finally got our food, he drove home. Then as soon as he got home, I opened the bag and started transferring the food to our own plates. I read a Yelp review stating that the sushi rolls are huge here. I was so disappointed when I saw how small our rolls were. We usually order 2 sushi rolls and a bento for our family of 4 to share. After a few bites, I was so worried that it wasn't enough food for us. However, my son ended up not liking the sushi rolls so he ate half a roll only. The titanic roll was okay but it's definitely not "titanic" in size. As for the lion king roll, the salmon was dry and there wasn't enough sauce to moisten up the salmon. In terms of the bento, the teriyaki sauce on the chicken tasted weird. The salmon was better but it was salty. The only thing I enjoyed was the salmon nigiri. Overall, , the ordering system is very inconvenient here, the employees seem pretty disorganized and the food is just okay.

Ray's Sushi Izakaya is always my first choice! Their sashimi is fresh; sushi and rolls are delicious! I haven't ever find another Japanese restaurant better than this.

Sushi is high quality, price is reasonable and interior is nicely decorated. It is our family’s go-to place for sushi. But if you care about the vibe and authenticity of a real Japanese restaurant, this might not be the top choice.

Good food, but too popular/crowded for efficient service and seating. Good location & great decor. Bit more expensive than other sushi restaurants in area.
