Bagdad Cafe Reviews
Small but iconic. Owner friendly.
I guess the place had no water so there was no food. I have to say one of the most delightfully bizarre places I've ever entered. The gal behind the counter was super sweet. She gave us a little local history about the joint and pointed us in the right direction for a place to eat. Overall a great experience checking out a bizarro piece of Americana along route 66!
This is a gift shop not a cafe....

Bagdad Cafe is a unique spot with a Euro vibe, featuring interesting decor like signatures, business cards, and movie propaganda. While they only offer beer and soda, the good music and friendly staff make it a great place to stop during travels. The owner, Andrea, is working to reopen the cafe with the help of Mark, as seen in a recent YouTube episode. Many visitors have found the building, although dilapidated, to have a timeless quality filled with photos and international memorabilia. The staff is known for their kindness and warm welcoming atmosphere. One tourist described how emotional it was to view the words and photos on display. The friendly bartender adds to the experience, allowing for memorable moments and laughter over drinks. Overall, Bagdad Cafe remains a one-of-a-kind experience worth a visit while on Route 66, especially for fans of the 1987 film that shares its name.
