Hunan food!!! We ordered a Xiao Long Bao (pork soup dumplings), loved it, and ordered another order of 10! We also enjoyed the spicy cauliflower, shredded potatoes, hot and sour soup, and xia gao (shrimp dumplings). I want to come back for the eggplant dish.

This is the some of the best Chinese food outside of San Francisco on the West Coast. And that is saying a lot. There is absolutely no way the 4.4 rating is an accurate reflection of your meal experience. My only guess is there's some people who are used to typical American Chinese restaurants eating here and not being used to what real Chinese food is like. The food is authentic. All of the sauces and the pickled vegetables are made in the kitchen and not bought from outside. Even the fried rices taste clean and savory and light. With delicious lingering flavors. Many of the dishes are traditional Chinese Hunan style with authentic traditional meat parts preferred for a Chinese pallete but can be substituted for Western palletes example white chicken breast meat etcetera. You will end up eating way more than you wanted to. And try the osmanthus oolong tea, it's an excellent mealtime palate cleanser. The service is great. They take real pride in their food.

This is the best Chinese food I've had so far in Ventura County. The entire menu is consistently fresh and tasty, the service is quick and friendly, and the large customer base of Chinese speakers (myself included) really highlights the authenticity of the food. New items also appear every so often, adding even more variety to the already extensive menu. Cannot recommend highly enough!

This was the best lunch I can remember. We were celebrating my son’s birthday. The service was impeccable and they were so courteous. We don’t speak Chinese. They provided a birthday plate of soft buns with black bean paste as a gift.

I drive an hour to eat here every few weeks. I don't know if the chef has changed or what, the taste of the dishes is completely different. The signature dish, the good chicken, has no taste at all. The shredded potatoes are also bland, just like boiled. The dishes that I asked the chef to re-fry were only spicy and salty, and the taste was different from before. And the lady who greeted the guests (the one who was always there) also had a stern face when we paid the bill, as if we were making trouble.
