“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

There was a line out the door! The employees were quite busy and overwhelmed, so I don’t blame them for being to-the-point. I came for the churro cookie, but they were sold out, which was really sad. Still got some cool stuff though!

The Beetlejuice cake was very dense and sugary, which is to be expected. It was super moist however, which I liked. I also appreciated the cute decorative touch.
The chocolate chunk cookie was huge, which I thought was fair for 5 dollars a piece. The chocolate was semi-sweet, which offset the sugary cookie. Very chewy and soft on the inside, almost cakey. Def enjoyed this one

“My absolute new favorite restaurant! We were visiting family in LA from Chicago and they took us here, I ended up going three times in my one week visit. Cheese stuffed zaatar and the sojouk kachopuri were my favorite and the garlic chicken wrap was my husbands. “I come by here at least once a week, the bread and pastries are baked fresh daily and the workers always treat you like family. It doesn't look like much from outside but it's my go-to local bakery. I would highly recommend the jalapeno bread with creme cheese, but come early because they run out often by noon.“

For Dia de Los Reyes they made roscas and for Valentine's Day they made heart conchas... so sweet and such an amazing idea! They are always very helpful with custom orders too :)“

“The bread was ok. I only came here for the bread because I wanted to make a tamale sandwich with a bread ??. I would of fried it but I couldn't. I love eating a crispy fried tamale but most or almost all places do not do it or sell it. I do not know if I am the only one that does this. But i like eating my tamales in a bread as a sandwich fried and crispy. The bread here was good. The bread was a little bit small. I have bought bread in other places and they are a bit bigger.“

“My wife wanted to stop by here to pick up a cake for her aunt birthday. This 85C is inside a big plaza so there are a lot of parking spots here. This store is small so be aware of this because they won't have as much pastries as other bigger 85C stores. When we walked inside, my wife went to see if they had the jalapeno cheese but they did not. We then went to look at their cake options and they didn't have much to select from. She ended up getting the strawberry deluxe cake and they give out a happy birthday sign and candles for free. The employee was nice during the interaction we had with him while ordering the cake.

“the staff at kupcake kitchen is so sweet and generous. they beautifully baked vanilla bean and strawberry champagne cupcakes for a woodland creatures baby shower that I hosted. everyone loved them and commented on how gorgeous and delicious they were. when I went to pick up the cupcakes, they even allowed me to borrow an adorable three tier stand to match the theme! I will definitely be ordering from them for all future occasions!“

“Funny story. Called in a small 2 bagel order to the wrong dinks location. When I arrived, they told me to call the other dinks to cancel order. I called them 10 times to cancel but the line was busy. I had a choice of paying for both orders or I couldn’t get my walk in order. I walked out. What would you have done in that situation?“

“So I had to get a gift for a friend who lives in Florida, and I am up North. I had ordered from Marge's Bakery in the past but not for a few years and was thrilled to find them again. Jeanette, the kindest, most thoughtful person on the planet took my order and included an amazing array of vegan cookies and 2 vegan mini breads, gift wrapped it up with a lovely ribbon and shipped it out for my friend to get it on his birthday. He absolutely loved everything, but he said the vegan lemon cookies and the mini carrot cake were real stand-outs (and he's very discerning when it comes to desserts!). It's such a joy when you find a place that really comes through for you quality-wise, with customer service that is caring and makes you feel like an old friend. Best bakery ever!“

I’m not vegan or gluten-free or anything like that, but after working out I crave something on the healthier side but still want it to taste great. Luckily I found Blossoms Sweet Kitchen and ordered their chocolate date bowl. OMG this was delicious. Tasted like dessert. The ingredients are such high quality, I honestly didn’t expect that out in an SCV food hall. And the bowl was beautiful too, just as advertised. I went back a week later and tried their mango gold smoothie. OMG again! Best mango smoothie ever. Tasted so fancy with the black peppercorn and turmeric and was just absolutely delightful. Def check this place out, it is incredible!“
