Cute little deli in Newport with a small selection of fresh made sandwiches, soups, and deli sides. Not sure I would call it a ‘market’ though as they really didn’t have more than one cold case. They did have a variety of drinks and wine to choose from.I had the Newport Po’boy which was decent. $12. The little side of bread and butter pickles were incredible though. Convenient place to get a good sandwich when staying in Newport. They can get pretty busy, so order ahead if you are in a hurry. The parking lot is small and tight and there is limited seating inside. They added more outdoor seating recently, which is helpful. I came to A Market Cafe on a friend’s recommendation specifically for their marble cake. When I got there, they had just run out—but the owner, Shelly, told me a fresh one was baking and would be ready in 20 minutes.
