We were charged $1,000 (4 people) for a buffet meal that was subpar. Taking everything into account, I probably would have reasonably paid in total $250 for the entire meal. What was advertised on their website, which was dated for today's date and time was not what was served. The ambiance was similar to a Disneyland buffet, as in extremely crowded, overpriced, and chaotic. I'm not even sure why there was a tip considering it was a buffet and our waitress came by twice. She brought 2 cocktails, bottle of pelligrino, a coffee and 2 orange juices. Hardly deserving of a mandatory processing fee of $200+

Overpriced with no Gucci Osteria ambience; china, linens etc. Not worth $195. per person. Too loud and the independent starting stations/buffet had nothing that indicated G. Osteria was involved. It was less than suitable, along with the dessert table. Will not participate again.

The Tea's before the Pandemic had more Tea Sandwiches and Scones for adults and children. The food was good, but like Tea Sandwiches. The cost was expense. The Pillows for all of the children was okay but I would rather have the cost less overall. Even the Princess Teas were the standard $75.00 per adult.

This was a beautiful way to celebrate my adult daughters birthday‼️❤️. This resort is top notch and exquisite‼️. The afternoon tea was delightful but very expensive for what we were served. The service was top notch‼️

The Tea was spectacular and put my family in the Christmas Spirit. I brought my family because I wanted to do something special for the Holiday and they LOVED it and it was way more than they imagined. The singers were amazing and everything flowed perfectly and the service was as expected , second to none. The decor was beautiful and festive. Thank you Pelican Hill for making our Christmas wonderful and full of Joy .

The holiday tea was fantastic! We requested non alcoholic drinks and the team accommodated us with pleasure. Both the sweet and savory treats were absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was magical. The singers were top notch and really brought the whole event together. Absolutely will be coming back next year!

We had high expectations for this holiday tea as friends went last year and raved about it . The holiday decorations thru out the venue were very festive. Our table setting was beautifully done . The Xmas tree centerpiece made out of cookies and chocolates was lovely. The tea service was outstanding.

Pelican Hill is beautiful and the ambience is wonderful. I had high expectations for the High Tea, given the resort's reputation and my previous dining experiences there. I also came in with having attended High Tea at The Ritz in both London & Paris and Le Crillon in Paris. The staff made sure our teapots were replenished. The music was very professional and we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the caliber of artists who sang and played. My disappointment was with the actual food. I was underwhelmed. The little sandwiches were dry . The pastries were mediocre, nothing truly dazzled me. Best note was the caviar /snow crab brioche. I felt like the food had been sitting around for awhile and was not fresh. For the $300 per person price tag I feel I did not get my value. The champagne courses were 3, the champagne I enjoyed the most I was not offered a refill. Great views, attentive staff but disappointing food.

My friend and I enjoyed the music and Xmas carols. The pianist was superb and the vocalists incandescent. The waiters and support staff were cordial. Thank you so much for your holiday events that I look forward to every year 。

This Holiday Tea “sounded” like a fabulous idea. My daughter was visiting from New York and we have had Tea all over the world (Paris, London, New York, LA, Hong Long, Tokyo, etc...)and LOVE a good Tea. So, we decided to go. Price was $300 per person, but it sounded lovely with Holiday songs presented by talented Alto and Soprano and live pianist. We were seated at one of two tables (everyone else got a banquette). First ding. We had two courses of small savory bites of which most were “meh” and were still hungry. Every tea we have been to offers seconds of your favorite. The third course was a finale of sweets. We left feeling like we were still pretty hungry, as we hardly touched the desserts. Almost stopped at Javier's. Second ding. The third ding was that it happened to be the fourth night of Hanukkah and given the recent strife in Israel, you would think there would be at least one or two Hanukkah songs and possibly some representation of it besides the menorah that was politely there but hidden in the most discreet area of the lobby. Ding #3! The hostess was also extremely rude and un-accommodating. She seemed miserable doing her job. Our servers were amazing, which is why I didn't give it a zero/1. We won't be going back next year and may not make it back to Pelican Hill after that incredible waste of money. Knife Pleat Tea, here we come!

Andrea is located in the Pelican Hill resort in Newport Coast. This is a first class resort along with a first class fine dining restaurant. The restaurant is closed and the resort was empty. I think I saw more guests than staff. I would be sooo disappointed to plan a stay at Pelican Hill only to find out there is no evening dining available. They have a casual restaurant by the pool and one in the golf shop which is a bit of a walk.

Horrible experience! I wish I could give zero stars, because the menu shown on the website is incorrectly displayed. I ordered the mushroom risotto, which had no flavor. The wedge salad was okay, but nothing special. As for the Mary’s Chicken, it was drowning in garlic. On to the sides, the mushroom side was the worst thing on the menu. I wonder how could you possibly make mushrooms bad. The potatoes side was the best thing on the menu, which is sad to say. Overall, horrendous food at a high price.
