Came here for lunch on a summer Monday. Not busy at all. We sat outside to get some sun but the seating options are great. The vibe inside near the bar is classic & the other inside area was lovely and gave patio vibes while being enclosed and shaded.

Lunch specials were fabulous! Worth the price and the flavors did not disappoint. On our way out we noticed Taco Tuesday & Happy Hour menus. Pics attached (taken 6/8/26)

Small parking lot in the back as well as paid street parking.

They also have a kids play area on the patio with lots of toys. I believe it was partly shaded.

We had a very large group of 12. Server was very much on point and I saw no one having food issues with delivery or taste.

This place has great authentic Mexican food . Great drinks. Great location price is right and you might just catch a glimpse of a famous former basketball player on a random day!

Brought clients here for a casual lunch during a busy showing day near Lido Isle — a welcome change of pace from the usual spots. Avila's El Ranchito is a Newport Beach staple for a reason: consistent Mexican comfort food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that feels genuinely relaxed. The kind of place families come back to for decades. For buyers new to the area, it's a great introduction to the laid-back, unpretentious side of Newport Beach dining.

I having been going to this restaurant for years and have always enjoyed the food. However, the last two times I have went to dine the food was only passable. Today I went with the family and had the 2 taco combination plate with grilled vegetables. The vegetables were not grilled and were tasteless. I did not eat them and the tacos were just okay. My daughter had the fajitas and said the meat had no flavor along with her vegetables also not being grilled. This was disappointing as Avilas is one of my favorite places to eat. They now serve their soft drinks in plastic cups throw away cups...which I think this is not environmentally friendly. The atmosphere is always nice and pleasant and the service continues to be excellent.

This was the ultimate find! We were originally headed towards an old favorite but the wind had this catch our nose first and we genuinely couldn't pass it up. Sat down and it was a total bop - service was friendly and everyone was genuinely there to hang for a good time. Got recommended the ceviche and wasn't disappointed at all - and it was served with lil saltines! Super cute and fair prices - will absolutely make this a staple when I'm in town :)
