This sushi is sooooo fresh. Daily fish deliveries. The sushi chefs have created amazing yet traditional sushi sublely dressed to perfection. I don't dare dip these in wasabi soy for fear of masking the flavor perfection. Most memorable on this visit was Kinmedai (Golden Eye Snapper). My Japanese-born girlfriend loves this place, enjoys her conversation with the sushi chef, and happily declares this is not "California Sushi"

Our server was awful. Food was great. We ordered the lunch time omakase. First 2 items delivered with an explanation of what was plated. The remainder just got placed on the table by the back of house crew. Barely any interaction with our server. Never asked if we wanted more alcohol, or anything for that matter. When we walked out after our meal, not even an acknowledgement as one is accustomed to, when dining in any Japanese establishment. Poor service culture here. Too bad. It used to be fantastic.

Really fun as the night and sake wore on. A bit loud but in a fun way. We had the rolls and sushi, various appetizers and nothing disappointed. Located in an upscale mall that's amusing to walk before or after dinner.

I treated my dad to the chef's omakase, and we were blown away by everything!!! The fish was so incredibly fresh. Everything was presented in such a beautiful artistic way. We will definitely be back!

Quality fish. Traditional and fresh sushi. Staff could be a little friendlier and smile more but it wasn’t bad.

I've dined at Bkuefin several times and have noticed the past few times the service and attention to their customers has diminished significantly. Not sure why but last night I had a 7:30 reservation for my wedding anniversary, and when we arrived there wasn't anyone dining at the restaurant- completely empty. My wife said this is a bad sign and we should leave; instead of being lazy, I should have listened to her. There were the usual 3-4 sushi chefs behind the counter enjoying their time talking and 3-4 servers/hosts visiting and really having a good time instead of waiting on their only customers- us. We ordered shrimp tempura and a tako cucumber salad to start. The salad was good as usual; the tempura was soggy and not crispy - we didn't complain and waited for sushi and sashimi to come out. Twenty minutes of empty drinks and watching the staff have a good ‘ole time socializing, we had to obnoxiously waive down a server to deliver wife's sushi that was sitting for at least 10 minutes- at this point, we are still the ONLY seated table inside the restaurant and no one even at the sushi bar- crazy. Not tunable on, but service level continued to be poor for the rest of the dinner and my hungry wife couldn't even eat the spicy tuna roll she ordered...so you think anyone asked if everything was okay with it as they cleared the table? Answer is no they didn't, shows they don't care and we're not the type to complain. We won't be returning because you cannot take bad service like that on the chin - especially after spending $235 for a dinner for two. A dinner where the service was below poor, and the food quality doesn't knock your socks off.

Save room for dessert, and order the mocchi ice cream! You will enjoy clean, fresh, authentic Japanese cuisine at Bluefin. Upon entrance, you will notice the cleanliness of the restaurant and the uniformed, professional sushi chefs. The staff were kind and polite, especially Gregory, allowing us to dine in at 8:30 pm even though they close at 9:00 pm during weekdays.Indoor/Outdoor/Bar seating: Plenty of seating at this location. We sat inside.Delicious Food: Clean, fresh and flavorful. Ordered the mushroom miso soup with shiitake mushroom, grilled salmon with grilled vegetable, teriyaki sauce, wagyu beef carpaccio with onions, chive, goma-soy dressing, sesame seed, albacore dynamite roll, salmon avocado roll, and mochi ice cream. Loved everything.Excellent Service: Gregory, Jason and Raymond were professional, kind and attentive during our dining experience and each interaction.Parking: Free parking in parking lot. Valet parking is also available but it is closer to Javier's, so free parking is the better option.I highly recommend this restaurant for a clean, fresh, authentic Japanese dining experience, and thank you, Gregory, Jason and Raymond for a memorable experience!

Very nice restaurant, We heard about this place and were told the sushi was excellent. We were disappointed! Sushi was average, we have had better. Service was not that good. Once we were seated it took a long time before we were served. We were the second couple to be seated and it seemed they were taking care of there customer that eat there more often. We thought that they forgot about us. Also believed this restaurant is over priced.Nothing to brag about.

This is amazingly authentic Japanese food. One of the best sushi places in Southern California. Clam Miso soup, halibut, mirugai (giant clam) and golden eye snapper were highlights. The service was equally exceptional.
