Wow! ? Don’t be fooled by the fact it’s in a strip mall. (Also - that means you’re not hunting for parking!) As the exterior hints, this place is intentionally crafted to be aesthetically pleasing, welcoming, cool-casual & family friendly. I was visiting for work & didn’t get a chance to try the food, but it looked amazing! Lots of options & I’d come back to try them if I’m the area. Tried their flagship beer ? & it was crisp, balanced, refreshing & delicious ?

For a taproom with great beers, they make amazing margaritas and offer excellent mezcal. Their food is fresh, healthy and authentic. I stopped by for lunch on Saturday and was seated immediately. I love this place and will be stopping by at my next visit to Newport.

The vibe is nice despite being next to Pavillions and Chipotle, and the music was good. We had two California burritos ($30) that were a bit cold and not good. The steak seems to be more like a stewed meat, which was different. The chips were stale. Some good salsas and solid beer selection, but would not come back for the food. Carnitas La Villa up the street has solid burritos.

Went for game day beer special, delish tacos and salsa bar where we had awesome service overall, hope I have the bartender name right (Danni?). Beautiful design/decor with a variety of food options and clientele including families; can't imagine why anyone would go to the chain next door!!
Cool place, good positive vibes, nice Primero beer with some lime, and service was on top. I just wish they brought back Chihuahua Limon I really miss it. Not sure why they don't serve it anymore?

We were visiting Newport Beach for a wedding and found Chihuahua while walking around our Airbnb neighborhood. What a find! The bartender Bella was so welcoming we decided we would be back with the family the day we were leaving. On our first visit, we had cocktails. We tried Livin La Vida Loca, a Pina Loca and a mango michelada. Omg the Livin La Vida Loca is our new favorite mezcal drink! The complimentary chips and salsa bar definitely make you want to eat there. The menu has lots of traditional dishes that we like having lived in the Yucatán. On our second visit, we ordered Livin La Vida Loca again, horchata and jamaica to drink, guacamole, shrimp, mahi, chicken & carnita tacos. Yum. We wish Chihuahua was in our neighborhood in AZ, we would be here all the time! Salud!
