Got up very early one morning to come here and still ended up deep back in the line. We were able to get some (very delicious) fresh fish that was still available, but definitely recommend getting there as early as you can muster, as the line fills up very early!

Be warned, they sell out fast. I would arrive 5-5:30 am if you want crabs/ a specific kind of fish. They have a lovely selection of fish and are located in the heart of Newport Beach. I love coming here in the early mornings to see the catch of the day / my dinner later. They have seasonal shrimp and crabs as well.

I love this place for fresh seafood. They have crabs, lobsters (seasonal), sea urchins, prawns, and variety of fish. I usually come for prawns but the price was increased a lot, now $38/lbs. They are very fresh; however I found live prawns in an Asian market (about $40/lbs). Just 2 dollar difference and I don't have to wait in line at 4 am. I probably won't return for prawns, unless I want to get something else.

It was a great experience we bought some spot prawn. We arrive at 5:30 a.m. waited about 30 minutes, the live prawn were $38 a pound and the dead prawns were $28 a pound
