We had our pup in tow and we wanted a pet friendly restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. They have a very small outdoor seating area. So tight I don't know how full tables would be able to get in and out from the table. It was just the 2 of us and the table and chairs across from is were almost touching the next tables chairs. Our first course that we choose was a seafood salad that had shrimp, lobster, and crab meat. Presentation was very nice, but unfortunately that was taken away with an off putting smell of ammonia. I tried the Hook plate with grilled scallops that comes with 2 sides. I choose wild mushrooms and pureed cauliflower. My wife tried the Cioppino. Plate presentation was very nice with our entree's however my wife must have had something that wasn't fresh because she had a stomach problem that woke her up at 2am. The service also degraded. Angel was very attentive when we first arrived, but later during our meal we wanted more bread to accompany it and there was long delays that caused our food to get cold while we were waiting to get service.
Fish and chips 7/10
Coleslaw 4/10
Crab cake 3/10
Absolutely perfect. Wayne, the owner and head chef, has created a warm, casual dining experience and I recommend it highly. The menu offers everything from seafood to steaks and salads. Gina, our server, took great care of us. You can’t go wrong here. Enjoy!

Really good place to eat but alittle spendy
Had the lobster roll and it was delicious. Great service and good ambience. We also had the seafood risotto and the clam chowder and it was all delicious. Highly recommended.

Great concept with a minimal menu focused primarily on seafood. The standout of our experience was our waitress she was knowledgeable, engaging, and did an excellent job describing and recommending menu items, which made us excited to try them.
Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t live up to the presentation. The lobster bisque was only room temperature, and I prefer my food served hot. The ceviche was average and didn’t stand out in any way. The lobster roll had good flavor but was also served at room temperature, which took away from the experience.
The host was not particularly warm or welcoming, and the restaurant serves Pepsi products, which is a personal downside for me since I prefer Coke.
Overall, it was a decent meal, but nothing memorable enough for me to add to my regular dining rotation.

Had an amazing halibut dish here. The veggies were cooked just right too. As an appetizer, we had shrimp and it was delish.
The fish was so good that my boyfriend kept saying he wanted to go back.
I would skip the key lime pie if you aren’t into sugar-y desserts. It is a bit too much. Everything else was perfect!!!

THE BEST clam chowder!!! Also got the lobster Mac but I was not a fan. The sauce is not good so they should probably look into a new recipe for that. But the restaurant is a great vibe and all other food I’ve had has been great

We were very surprised at this unassuming treasure of a restaurant. The food the sauces and the welcoming service . The prices were unbelievable

Best lobster in Orange County. I’ve gone three times and had the same server twice, a blonde woman with glasses. She’s amazing, you’ll be in for quality service if she ends up serving you. Get the ceviche, calamari, and deviled eggs, trust me.

Tried lobster, clams, and mussels for the first time here and it did NOT disappoint. Sat outside, watched a World Cup match, and the whole vibe was just perfect. Such a lovely spot 🦞⚽✨
I had the most wonderful dinner at Hook and anchor. This is the most amazing restaurant I’ve been to in the last year or two. The servers were fabulous. The woman who checked me in was wonderful and the food was so delicious. Do yourself a favor and come here because this is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to.
