Yuck. Be warned. A total trap. Food was really sub par. Not horrible but for these prices it was a total rip off.

Dropped by for lunch before going to the beach. Friendly staff and server. Family got the cioppino, clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, lobster roll, half doz oysters and shrimp poboy. All were good. Shrimp poboy had large shrimp vs small and worth every penny. Lobster roll and cioppino was good as well. My clam chowder was delicious, but wished they took more bread out of the center to be able to have more chowder. So little chowder for the large left over bread bowl. Overall, would recommend eating here.

No one would believe me that I was in and out of this restaurant within one hour! I’m not saying I felt rushed. In fact, this experience is just the opposite! The pace was so on point from the moment we were seated until the end of the meal. The server is spot on and checked on us at the perfect time each time. We were seated at one of the booths away from the bar side with a tv near us, so we were able to watch a baseball game while we eat.
About the food, O.M.G! I was in my lobster mac n cheese heaven for 20 minutes. The photo only showed one of the three large pieces of lobster meat! The mac was cooked in the right texture (I like mine al dente), each little mac is covered with the right amount of cheese. Words can’t describe well enough, so all I’m gonna say is go try it by yourself!! My husband ordered the lobster roll and was given a generous amount of lobster!! Special mention- the roasted veggies! Even as a side dish, they don’t shy away from seasoning them!
Lastly, parking- I thought I had to drive around and parked on the street. However, when we arrived, there were plenty of parking left, which was a surprise!

I had clam chowder, fish and chips, cioppino, shrimp Alfredo, and lobster Mac and cheese. Clam chowder is good. 4/5. Fish and chips are meh, the fish is great but the fries are not the greatest. 3.5/5. Cioppino is delicious. The sauce is great and the shrimp is nice. 4.5/5. Shrimp Alfredo is way too cheesy and heavy. It feels like a 3 ton truck in my mouth. I got sick of it. 2/5 😕 . Lobster Mac and cheese is somehow a tiny bit too cheesy but tastes quite good. 3.9/5

this genuinely might be the worst restaurant experience i have had considering the price, atmosphere, and service. i’m not sure why someone would come here when there is so many options in the area. we ordered 3 lobster rolls and the halibut which were $49 each lol

The main complaint is that the food is simply too salty.

The food and the service was incredible! We were initially disappointed because Chat GPT thought Hook and Anchor had ocean views and we were looking forward to celebrating our anniversary while watching the sunset. It does not lol. However, our night was completely fantastic regardless. From the hostess to our server and the bussing team, everyone was friendly, helpful, and very guest oriented. The lobster roll and the seafood salad were amazing. The tuna poke stack was delicious, and the bread pudding was phenomenal. 10/10 experience.

Love this place! Been coming here for years! Always fresh and tasty. Good service, never had any issues.
A little on the pricy side but it’s fresh. Try out their happy hour or lunch specials.
Just wish they were closer. lol

We were excited to try this place, having a craving for a lobster roll. And indeed, the lobster roll did not disappoint, nor did the clam chowder. Both delicious. The lobster mac & cheese was disappointing; the lobster meat did not seem fresh, and it was firmer than usual and had an off-putting taste to it. Our server was friendly and attentive, though he ultimately forgot to give us the receipt we asked for at the end of the meal. Being handed the card reader with simply a total and no itemization was not helpful. We also didn't appreciate being charged an automatic large-party gratuity when that 6th person was a little baby who obviously didn't order anything off the menu, nor could her high chair even be accomodated at our table, so we had to hold her in our lap the entire meal or otherwise wait another half hour for a table.

The food was super disappointing. I’ve been meaning to find a good lobster roll place, so I was super excited to try this one out! What I got was super disappointing. The roll itself was soggy, and the lobster was not sweet at all and tasted like nothing. It was borderline gross. Like, I didn’t even bother to finish it. Just a really disappointing experience.
