The ambiance alone is enough to bring you in and keep coming back. Food and service was good, came in after work for a goodbye dinner. Jamaica Margarita was a highlight, aguachile was also good. Food in general was not outstanding but did not disappoint. Huge beautiful bar, ocean views, plenty of staff, and a sunset make it a great spot for lunch or dinner.

Purchased a gift card from their website for instant delivery via text to a friend dinning there. They never received the gift card text. Person I dealt with was rude and gave every excuse in the book why they didn't get gift card.
1.Its a new website.
2. They didn't answer phones when I called and said it was because they were busy.
3. That phone/cell service is bad so thats why they didn'tget gc. I explained that they still haven't received the text with the gift card a day later.

This place never disappoints. Everything is perfect. Even the valets make it a great experience. The floor managers know the entire story. Everything is always great, service is on point.

Our group still had to wait for everyone to arrive to get seated and this was with reservations. Mind you it was very hard to find parking for some of us that didn’t valet. We got seated 40 minutes later.

Inside was very loud and crowded. I feel bad for the staff.

Food is great but overpriced. Definitely paying for the ambiance and view but couldn’t even see the ocean. Also it was hot.

Most mid food ever. Not bad service, but staff is overwhelmed with how busy it is.

I keep giving Javiers chances as I used to love it. Scratch that now. I think it’s a rip off. It’s way too crowded with no sense of serenity to enjoy the surroundings. The front hostess stand was unbelievably rude and curt.
The service was very slow. Chips served were not fresh. The seafood enchiladas were ok, not terrific. They were served warm and not hot.
Then a huge disappointment was their house margarita. It was bitter and watered down. I drink margaritas often. Of all things, Javier’s should have a killer margarita. I’m done with Javier’s. It has lost the “cool factor” it once enjoyed. You’re now just part of the herd.
Go to South of Nicks in Laguna for great higher end Mexican food.

The restaurant was nice but the food was mid at best. It did not taste authentic, I had the mole with rice, the rice was not great. The mole lacked flavor. Great ambiance though, def won’t be coming back though because for me personally, the food has to be great for the prices.
