Mole isn’t good. They need to try to make it either Oaxacan or Puebla style. Service was bad we needed our drink refill and no one was there to attend us.

I'm clearly not the demographic. Music was loud and place seems set up for a much younger crowd

I went there for the taco Tuesday 99 cent tacos. I have got to say, these are the tiniest tacos I've ever had. I feel ripped off and mislead. On the advertisement they looked bigger.

UPDATE: I went back and got the dragon roll, it was worth the wait, best sushi I've ever had and the only sushi I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant - highly recommend and will return just for that alone!Quality ingredients, interesting menu, definitely going back for the dragon roll because they were out... The server said it's highly popular, and the description sounds delicious ??Looking forward to my next visit. I really appreciate the colorful, dynamic interior, and the roses all over the ladies bathroom are stunning!Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian dishes; I had vegetarian enchiladas and they were amazing.

My friends from work and I went to Kalaveras to celebrate one of my friends' birthdays. It was my first time there, and I immediately fell in love with the location. As a Mexican, I appreciate all the touches it had that are a tribute to my culture. The happy hour drinks and food were a major plus! We all were able to have a couple of drinks and some food at a steal of the price. I had the taquitos dorados with potato and soyrizo. I'm not vegetarian, but I love trying new things whether they have meat or not, so I was excited to see they had soyrizo. It was my first time trying it, and it did not disappoint.I also had a couple of margaritas, which were all pretty strong. I wish they had a bit more of the flavor than the alcohol but they were not bad. I also had a Mexican candy shot at my friends encouragement. It was not strong in comparison to the margaritas, but it tasted really good. It definitely was my favorite drink out of the ones I tried. My only regret after leaving Kalaveras was not trying their sushi. Next time I will for sure though.

Visited for 99¢ taco Tuesday’s and that’s the only reason I’d return.First, it took a few minutes before someone came to the host stand to seat us, even though the restaurant was about 1/3 full. Servers even came to the stand and ignored us, not even saying “someone will be with you shortly”.We were seated and waited another 8-10 minutes for our waiter to stop by and ask if we wanted water/drinks. I ordered a margarita which was not listed as having a special rim, but when it arrived there was tajin in and around the drink. I had to ask that they remake it as I don’t like spiced beverages, which they were happy to do, but I thought it odd that it wasn’t listed on the menu. Not to mention the drink took another 10 minutes to arrive so ordering a new one I knew would take forever. We got the 99¢ tacos which was just a table where they heated street tacos-sized tortillas and filled them with whatever meat you asked for. There was a short line, but it took a while because the man making n the tacos seemed to move slowly and made a few mistakes with every order. Also, half of the toppings were empty so I wasn’t able to add much to my taco. Lastly, the station had strange green lighting above it which made it hard to see what we were ordering, and there were no written descriptions of the meat or toppings. A bit of a free for all.Overall, it was a pleasantly cheap dinner, which I appreciated, because for the painfully slow service (the remade marg didn’t arrive until we were already halfway through the meal) I wouldn’t have paid much more.I’d recommend going for a quick bite and getting the Taco Tuesday taco deal. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu so I can’t speak much to the quality of the food overall, but the service was quite lacking and does make me think twice about returning.

Not sure if it's because it's newer or it was St.Pats day but they seemed understaffed. The food was good but came out lukewarm. Done sent back to reheat. Service took forever to get drinks... we would have ordered more drinks if service was quicker. Most everyone got only 1 drink and we cancelled the 2nd drink order because we had already finished food. We were a party of 10 and it was not busy at all so not sure what was going on. Overall I would try it again but not rushing back anytime soon.

Vanessa was so attentive and made my birthday amazing! We had our own section, which was amazing! Hands down. I was an hour late to my own birthday dinner and they still accommodated me. Ambience was perfect!
