Mariposa

I always have a wonderful experience at Mariposa in Newport Beach. The staff is delightful, welcoming, and attentive. The food is consistently good...I crave the popovers! A terrific place to bring a business guest or a friend.

Our waiter was terrific and was the one that made our luncheon birthday celebration so special. It was very much appreciated!

Beautiful restaurant tucked at the top of Neman Marcus. The outdoor patio has a beautiful view of fashion island and the ocean. Staff are so friendly and professional. We had the most delicious meal. First we were served complementary Yorkshire pudding and a small helping of chicken broth soup to start our pallets. We had a delicious glass of Rose' that was perfectly paired with the strawberry salad. We added salon which made decadent. We finished with huge homemade cookies go to! These are incredible the size of a plate and so moist. Chocolate chip, oatmeal, and peanut butter yum this is a great local secret

A favorite is mandarin. Orange soufflé with poppyseed dressing . It is a signature dish for me since the ‘80's Also the popover and broth are iconic and wonderful Ambience could stand to be updated

I brought my aunt and she was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was. The service was outstanding,friendly and attentive from start to finish. The only downside was the desserts, which didn't quite live up to the rest of the meal. Overall, a great experience!

Was disappointed to learn the vegetarian club was dropped off the menu. It was the best. Don't really have much reason to go without it.

Our server, Ben took great care of us. We had a relaxing afternoon enjoying a lunch. The food, service and ambiance was excellent. Looking forward to going back again!

The experience was good overall — except for one major issue: the price of the tuna tar tar. I used to come here specifically for that dish, but now it's been raised to $32, which I find completely unreasonable. That price increase is just too much, and sadly, it means I won't be coming back anymore.

The meal opens with a demitasse of consomme, and an airy puff croisant. The meals were light, but totally satisfying. It was a beautiful day where we set out of doors. The service was warm, friendly and unpretentious. And since it was Nieman Marcus, there was a good number of beautiful people, dressed to the nines. Just a wonderful place to lunch.

They start you off with a little bit of Connie to drink and a pop over with some strawberry butter. Delicious. I had the salmon tacos, which were phenomenal.

The hostess at Mariposa was lovely! She actually read my reservation note that we were on a lunch hour and our service was courteous and prompt. We come here periodically due to relatively high prices, but are always pleased with the quality and quantity of lunch options. Lunch was delicious.
