Very mediocre. I was seated fast, but the host forgot to give me menu, or maybe it is always the servers job to give it. But since it took the server around 10 minutes to greet and give the menu it felt a bit late. Also the bread and butter isn't part of the service, kind of weird for a restaurant at this caliber. Ordered the salmon and sushi with some sides and a dessert cocktail. The salmon had no seasoning, very bland. The cocktail was good, and strong. It just didn't live up to its name. I had tried the steak at a previous visit and that was ok. I also noticed the demographic was mainly older people so maybe that's why I didn't feel impressed by the ambiance. My waiter was not that attentive either, I think she assumed because of my age or looks or something that I wasn't going to tip or something, and it's usually this kind of treatment that results in that. Wouldn't come again.

Not very good to be honestly, 2 follow up calls before coming in for a birthday party still didn't get the table set up and not even ready for anything special. really unsatisfied.

First class service, excellent food. Great atmosphere with live music. We enjoyed every moment we were there. The staff is super friendly and extremely professional. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends and colleagues. Travis and Michael are the best waiters around 5 star plus to them both!!!!!

Had Easter dinner here. Love the service , food ans live pianist. Valet is $8 but if you want to skip there is parking close by. Ordered the usual rib eye and it's perfection. Better cooked than the one in DTLA. Ambiance is much better than DTLA. Trust

Came here recently for a work event. Had a private room with open menu. Service was terrific. Definitely better than the Costa Mesa location (dined there within 1 month of the Newport location). Drinks never ran dry. Food came out hot and steaming. Oysters were fantastic. Bread a good filler. Sushi was palatable but wouldn't order again. Steak was phenomenal.

This place was so special for our wedding weekend. The food was on point and our server Stephanie made us feel so special. The steak was perfectly prepared and the butter cake was the best thing I have ever had in my life. I can't wait to come back! What about beautiful evening - thank you Mastro team!

Way too right wing to be comfortable. Too many restrictions, I'll go next door where I can dress how I feel like. No one tells me how to dress. I should dresup as a drag queen and se if they'll let me in with my stinky

Best food I have eaten in my life. To all those who think it is not good, they need to work on themselves and stop being unhappy with life. Great food. Great service. Butter cake is amazing. I haven't had a bad steak here ever. I always get loaded mashed potatoes, ceasar salad, lobster Mac n cheese, and a 12 oz ribeye. Compliments to the chef(s) and staff.

Being a solo diner, unfortunately, had to appeal for better location on seating choice. On a Sunday evening, quite high noise level. Grew tired of waiter referring to me as "dear". Asparagus not "young" (very thick). Mashed potatoes on runny side, for lack of better description. Although filet done to "well" request, had to be butterflied to achieve. Considering all of above, did not feel like a "fine" dining experience.
