Amazing place. France in OC. Our friends were jealous when we sent pictures of our visit to this fine establishment. We enjoyed our pastries and coffees. We took home a full rotisserie chicken for tonight’s dinner. Magnificent.

Loved this little gem we found! Great food, service, and atmosphere! The inside is super cute and the outside seating is relaxing. But Jimmy was the highlight of visit! Such an amazing, cultured guy with wonderful conservation! Hope to see you again, Jimmy! - Katie & Rick (w/ the 3 Bambinos)

Terrific food. Love their crepes, pastries, onion soup. That’s all I was able to try in one visit, but I’ll definitely return some time, even though I live 20 miles away. One star off for being very noisy due to being so close to the airport and all the planes taking off. Parking is available but can get very crowded. It’s a busy place even during the week.

This is a place where you can feel Paris in Orange County. All breads and cakes are delicious.

Reminded me of cafes in paris, but w a pinch of faux pretentious Paresian mixed in w the staff, which i think is a cute touch albeit funny. They will intentionally correct your pronounciation the same way they do when you dont follow the naming convention while ordering at starbucks. Overall, i like what they're doing, and they have a strore, which remindes me of the cracker barrel situation in a good way.

I am trying desperately to love Moulin, but I keep comparing it to the real deal and it continues to fall short in key areas. I’ve tried several items several times, and the things that just fall flat for me are their crepes and the caramel. I haven’t even bothered to try the savory crepes, as there is no proper galette (buckwheat) option. But even the simple lemon sugar sweet crepe was generally flavorless and cold by the time it was served, distorting the texture as well. And the caramel…what a shame. Whoever is making caramel is overcooking it and it is becoming bitter. This is especially tragic because it is a component in so many of the cafe desserts and restaurant desserts (Bouillon, next door). The caramel ruined the otherwise lovely Paris-Brest, making it so bitter it was inedible. It also ruined the tarte-tatin at Bouillon (I presume the same back of house for these core ingredients used in both Moulin and Bouillon), although the tarte-tatin was way off base for other reasons (a subpar sable base instead of a proper puff pastry…why even bother?). The lack of consistency is frustrating. Sometimes I can come here and get a lovely lunch and spot-on pastries and vienoisserie. Other times, everything is off. Sadly, at the elevated prices, it’s not really worth it anymore for me. Back to my kitchen I go to make my own pastry. Wishing someone in OC could make it the right way so I don’t have to!

From the moment you walk through the doors, you're transported to the streets of Paris, with its cozy ambiance and delicious aromas filling the air. The menu features a delightful selection of French classics, from flaky croissants and buttery quiches to savory crepes and hearty sandwiches.
