This is just a cute little French bakery that I’m glad we found. I wanted a crepe and drove to another place that was no longer there. I ordered ahead and they had my order ready at the estimated time. If you want to sit down, there is outside and inside tables. There’s a lot of bakery items you can pick up and breakfast and lunch items. I would definitely return!

The atmosphere was lovely. Latte, french toast and omelette was very good. Omelette was not oily like the other places we ate.

This was the best croissant I've ever had and ever will have. All other croissants are ruined for me now. I will never again crave a starbucks croissant.

I have never believed it is ok for a restaurant to steal from their patrons. I asked for an omelette but without bacon, and substitute tomato. They wanted to keep the money for the bacon and charge me more for tomato. The up charge for bacon was twice that of tomato. I will never think this is an acceptable practice. If you’re upgrading for something more expensive please charge, but if the item is cheaper, even according to your own menu, that’s stealing.
This place I so quaint and pretty and sooo good! Highly recommend it to everyone !

Our family has been coming here for years- Best coffee, cappuccinos, mochas etc! Authentic French pastries, croissants and excellent egg dishes made with real ingredients beautifully executed- of course, don’t forget the crêpes! Love the option to sit in and listen to French music or take away. And this is a great place to pickup dessert treats for a dinner or brunch party or a classic baguette! 🥖 A+++

I purchased some individual berry cheesecakes. The amount that I ordered exceeded the amount in the display case. So they made my quantity on the spot. I waited about 20 minutes during which time I enjoyed their French-style ambiances. The berry cheesecakes were delicious and just the right amount of dessert after a camp-site dinner.
The most charming and most delicious french bakery!
I eat everything here on a regular basis for years. The omelettes, sandwiches, cappuccino, bread and pastries are heaven sent thanks to the owner who imports butter from France. Croissants everyday! The beignets are MAGNIFIQUE!
We got great service and good from Nina.

My fiancé, my brother and I absolutely love this place. It has become a ritual for us to To eat at this lovely place on a regular basis. The owner, Nina, is so delightful.
We frequent Rendez Vous often for breakfast because this charming place is consistently great on every level. It’s a small, always a busy spot, but the staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready to help.
Their display of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies basically whatever your heart desires is both beautiful and delicious. The coffee and breakfast never miss.
If you’re in the area, definitely check out this adorable French café promise they won’t disappoint!
My wife had a small brunch at her office, and someone brought croissants from this place. Since we had just gotten back from Paris, she knew I was still on the hunt for a good croissant and coffee. She brought one home for me—and wow, the first bite instantly transported me back to Paris.
So, on my next day off, we headed down for breakfast. Naturally, I had to have another croissant, but I also couldn’t resist trying their Le Parisien sandwich—which reminded me so much of a favorite spot in Paris. We indulged in a few pastries, and of course, I brought home some fresh bread.
This little gem in Corona del Mar was such a pleasant surprise. We’ve since shared it with several friends who’ve also been to Paris, and they all agree: for a brief moment, it truly feels like you’re back at a Parisian bistro—complete with French music.
Just a heads-up: this place can get busy. Once they run out of fresh baked goods, that’s it for the day. Seating is limited both inside and on the patio, and it’s all first-come, first-served. Parking is street-only, so plan accordingly.
Best pastries and coffee in Newport Beach in a cozy French style ambiance
I had this croissant around noon on March 16 2025 at Rendez Vous and it was somewhere between a 3.5 and 4, pretty close to a 4, plus or minus, which is solid for a croissant in the US. 5 would be the best croissant in Paris, a high bar. It certainly looks the part, doesn't it? Looks clue us in, but aren't everything. It did have a decent sound, but it's hard to make a croissant retain the soft/moist/chewy/elastic inside and a crunchy/crackly/buttery/flaky outside hours after baking. Still, if you're in the area, pop in earlier, and tell me how it is. You can tell them I sent you, but they won't know who I am.
