For a struggling chain they aren't doing anything to improve.... Ordered a couple of Ruby's cheeseburger, WELL DONE... Both came back almost raw..... I mean you're a Burger chain how you frick that up? Good luck trying to stay in biz..... Maybe you wouldn't be closing location after location if you can get the simple basics down.????

A classic restaurant located at the end of Balboa Pier. The best place to relax with a cool drink or light food in front of the beautiful sea. Friendly and fast service makes me feel better.
Sometimes seagulls come near us to try to steal our food.. ㅎㅎㅎ

Ruby’s Diner at the end of Balboa Pier in Newport Beach sounds like a delightful spot! The retro vibe with oldies playing in the background must add a charming touch.
The option for indoor and outdoor seating, along with a walk-up window, makes it convenient for everyone.
I wanted to take my Canadian relatives someplace with a great beach vibe, and of course the original Ruby’s was the right place! Everyone was happy with their burger and other dishes. Our server was great. They have inside and outside seating. We sat outside, because it was a beautiful day and no wind. However, beware of the pigeons…they are very bold and brushed against my feet at the table, I had to keep swooshing them away. There’s also a lot of fishermen right there, which can be entertaining or not.
Parking: There was plenty of parking by the pier for a Tuesday. You need to pay with the parking lot app.

Amazing location with a great view overlooking Newport Beach, the service was fine, but the food was ... so bad even for American standards (which aren't super high compared to Europe). I got a BLT the bread was oozing in fat dripping everywhere I could not finish it. Everything was deep fried, nothing fresh.
