Burgers were not exactly as ordered but good. Would eat here again.

My boyfriend and I had a pretty good time overall, the food was solid and most of the staff were super friendly. :) The only weird part was that the cashier and one of the servers came off kind of passive-aggressive, especially toward families. It made things feel a little tense, which was a bummer. Everyone else seemed cool though, so maybe it was just an off day or they’re new and still figuring things out. Would still come back, just hoping for a more relaxed vibe next time.

Jacob was the sweetest! I dined in alone and he made it a lovely experience along with the rest of the staff. I even forgot my card and he ran down the pier to return it to me! I love this place <3

Ruby's is a fun experience. The staff is top notch and very friendly. It was on our must do list when we were taking my mom to the beach for the day. She is a Cali girl and grew up going to Ruby's.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!It was crazy 17$ for just a burger and fries and for it to come out as lousy as it was. It took about 20 minutes for the burger to be ready even when there was no line and not many people out on the pier. the burger wasn’t very flavorful and had 2 LITTLE BLACK HAIRS ON IT. It pretty much ruined my appetite after I saw it and the fries were way overcooked and crunchy. Later that day I was on toilet all night and had a food Bourne illness. Telling friends and family to STAY AWAY from this gross restaurant.

Great, iconic spot. Awesome service, excellent diner food, and great prices. If you're looking for a traditional diner overlooking the water, you're in the right place! I would go out of my way to visit.
For a struggling chain they aren't doing anything to improve.... Ordered a couple of Ruby's cheeseburger, WELL DONE... Both came back almost raw..... I mean you're a Burger chain how you frick that up? Good luck trying to stay in biz..... Maybe you wouldn't be closing location after location if you can get the simple basics down.????

A classic restaurant located at the end of Balboa Pier. The best place to relax with a cool drink or light food in front of the beautiful sea. Friendly and fast service makes me feel better.
Sometimes seagulls come near us to try to steal our food.. ㅎㅎㅎ
