Shorebird - Prime Steak & Seafood

Had the most incredible experience here earlier this month. We came to enjoy one last day at Newport having brunch with a view, and left beyond excited to come back! The food was just as delicious as the atmosphere. We took our server up on each course recommendation and she did not disappoint! Each dish better than the next…the crab cakes were worth the review itself.

We had the pleasure of being waited on by Bri, and she brought the experience to a whole other level! She was so accommodating and personable, it made it easy to trust all of her recommendations in which , were spot on. Thanks again for such great service!

•Overall 10/10 if you want a nice brunch in Newport with an incredible view of the harbor and all the gorgeous boats right on the patio!

We had a nice dinner at this cozy restaurant. It’s not right on the beach, but a few tables near the open windows have a view of the ferry and boats, while the rest get a pleasant ocean breeze. Our server, Amanda, and manager, Ozzie, were both friendly and welcoming, and they offered complimentary ice cream for a birthday. We enjoyed The Shorebird, Chicken, Chilean Seabass with risotto, Salmon Belly Nigiri was okay little pricey for 2 salmon pieces , and an Espresso Martini ,all tasty, with the seabass and chicken especially well marinated. The GLS Patz & Hall Chardonnay was excellent; coffee was fine. Sunset is the best time to visit, and the area is great for a walk after dinner.

My family and I dined at Shorebird last night.

We ordered the meatball appetizer which was terrific but you only get 3 and they are rather small. I had the pork chop for my main which was delicious. It was tender and juicy. I also ordered a side of the honey garlic carrots which were also tasty.

My only gripe with Shorebird is that it is really loud, not from music but from people talking. You have to kind of shout to the person across the table or next to you.

Overall, it's a good place to try out.

Came here for a bachelorette brunch and we were able to get the private room on the right. Our server was the best, she made it all happen for us.

Very dissatisfied with the service and the management! I come here with friends and family and reached out to them to plan a dinner for 18 people. First they offered a small space then added a venue fee of $750 to accommodate a table of 18.

The area they want to provide us for the table is tiny and not so nice.

These people clearly don’t want to succeed. They are always super slow.

They lost my business!

The food was outstanding and we thought the sushi and raw fish was some of the best we've had in Orange County. Our server wasn't very attentive and didn't come around to check on us in between courses. For the price points I would expect more from our server.

Great food and great service in a beautiful setting. Part of our order came out late and the staff was so professional about it. Kept us informed of the problem, comped the item and gave us a free dessert. They turned a problem in to a positive with their great service.

We selected Shorebird on a whim, simply wanted to be near the water…what a great choice! We split a dozen raw oysters and they were fresh and tasty. Based on recommendations from our server I had the pork chop which was excellent. Our server, Brianna, was a real pleasure. She was attentive & shared her opinions on dishes which were spot on. We learned at the end of the meal it was only her 2nd night on the floor for the dinner shift but you would never know it!

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. Loved the tomato soup and cheese sandwich and miso cod fish. Half price bottle of wine for lunch

Loved it and will go back! We celebrated a birthday and it's a great place to celebrate. Awesome vibes!!
