Had a great dinner Friday night with some girlfriends- loved the food and margaritas! We also had amazing service from Louis, he really made the night special for all of us. Ask for Louis!
Let me start by saying that no Mexican restaurant should ever run out of rice, especially if it's the main side offered for every entree. That was a quick way to disappoint 9 guests and a $300 bill, not to mention it was a birthday dinner. Service was slow, everyone was working on closing the restaurant down while we waited and waited. Took 45 minutes to put our order in. Won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend dining after 9.
The drinks, chips and salsa ...beanssss. Are always great. I go there a lot and I bring people from out of the area and they always enjoy the place. But the service is alway not expected for a place with this vibe. The waiters are not rude but they are not very friendly...
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. We had a party of 5 and were squished into a small booth. There was hardly enough room for our dishes and drinks. Our daughter's order was made incorrectly, as was our son's. My son felt sick after the meal, which could have been coincidental, but we would not spend our money again here.
The menu goes beyond standard Mexican fare and the quality and value were well worth the trip here. Service was excellent and the vibe was relaxed . The best compliment is to say we will be back when we are in OC!
Food was not as good as the last time we went. It's a slow time of year and the food was not as good. Beautiful spot though and the drinks & chips &'salas are great!
Great host and wait staff. Having to deal with rudeness of some customers who felt entitled to be immediately seated due to their reservation on Christmas Day when we all had reservations was something to witness. The staff handled the situation with grace and professionalism. Bravo to the staff and hope all who read this review go and support this business.
Really a great meal and excellent service. One of the few restaurants open on Christmas Day.
We hosted our company Christmas party here this year and Juan Carlos (JC) was such a phenomenal server. He went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. He Also has a phenomenal singing voice so I definitely recommend going for someone’s birthday lol.

Food quality was not good. We've been there so many times because we love that place when we come visit Newport Beach and it was definitely not what it used to be. The waiter let us know that if they have a new shop so the food is just not as good.
We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was very pleasant. Not crowded and perfect sound level to communicate. Burrito and tortilla soup were very tasty! Service was great.
We made our reservation for 7:30. We arrived early, at 7:30 we were told it would be about 25 more minutes. After waiting 30 minutes we asked again and it was another 30 min wait. This also happened to multiple people waiting who also had reservations. We ended up being sat around 8:30.
Hostess was extremely rude on a Saturday lunch service, sat us down on the patio area with a table that was wobbly and then she proceeded to not communicate with the servers to let them know we were there. Servers never showed up. The server assigned to us was late for her shift. 25 minutes pass by and I get up to ask what's going on. Hostess essentially did not communicate properly with me or other servers to help give us service. Even once I complained the rest of the service was horrible. Didn't even get chips and salsa and at the end of our meal I had to find someone to ask to pay. Horrible service
The service and ambiance were amazing. Sadly I didn't enjoy my goat cheese enchiladas. I couldn't find the cheese and they were dry and hard to cut. But the service was awesome and that goes a long way.
