Best Fried Chicken in Newport Beach! The young cashier and worker were courteous and friendly! I had a three piece chicken with macaroni and cheese. The food was fresh, crunchy and delicious! I got to meet the owner too, he was welcoming! They own the Hook and Anchor too. Can't beat the variety menus and the delicious cuisine! I'll be back!
I don't get anyone who says the chicken isn't seasoned past the coating. I guess stick to crappy fast food Popeye's. That's simply not true. You can tell the chicken is soaked in brine for a long time. It's seasoned all the way to the bone and SO juicy, even the breast. It's the best fried chicken I've ever had.
It's a shame this place is closed. Without a doubt the best spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had. Way better than all the big chains. The mac and cheese was phenomenal too. I think it didn't make it cause there's too many health conscious people here at the beach. Lol
