It's a shame this place is closed. Without a doubt the best spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had. Way better than all the big chains. The mac and cheese was phenomenal too. I think it didn't make it cause there's too many health conscious people here at the beach. Lol

Looks like this place might be closed now? I can't say I'm surprised. While the food is very good, they seem to typically be run by a single overworked person in the kitchen. Which means slow orders and wait for it.. the phone never being answered!! We tried calling a few weeks in a row to place an order but the phone is never picked up. Actually ended up leading us to try Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time and now I have no reason to leave there lol. Good luck on your journey summers!

Best Fried Chicken in Newport Beach! The young cashier and worker were courteous and friendly! I had a three piece chicken with macaroni and cheese. The food was fresh, crunchy and delicious! I got to meet the owner too, he was welcoming! They own the Hook and Anchor too. Can't beat the variety menus and the delicious cuisine! I'll be back!

I don't get anyone who says the chicken isn't seasoned past the coating. I guess stick to crappy fast food Popeye's. That's simply not true. You can tell the chicken is soaked in brine for a long time. It's seasoned all the way to the bone and SO juicy, even the breast. It's the best fried chicken I've ever had.

I was told this was the best place to get fried chicken in OC so I was excited to try. Great service and convenient location. Cute little setup. Everything is cooked fresh to order which is great. While the flour that the chicken is coated in was seasoned very well and had a good crunch to it, the chicken itself was not seasoned....at all. So if you get a bite without the crust, there was no flavor. It wasn't horrible but not the best place for fried chicken - especially if you're from the south. Honestly, Popeyes is better. Fries were cooked prefect only had zero salt on them and one of my fries was wet??? No idea what that was about. Needless to say I didn't eat another fry lol
