The Bungalow Restaurant

Thanksgiving holiday meal, so a bit noisy and crowded to be expected. Arrived at 3:15 for 3:30 reservation and were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was excellent, with a smile and helpfulness in wine selection. Never felt rushed throughout the meal and staff was only at the table when needed. Perfect for when you want to relax and enjoy the food and company. The food was excellent especially the option of a plate with both prime rib & turkey. Every year it was frustrating to decide which of these favorites to have and The Bungalow menu made that easy with the combo. Why don't more places do that. Definitely would go back for holiday or special occasion meals. A great meal, great service and a great place to dine.

We love coming here and we normally have big celebrations with the family. However, last night on November 22 my mom and I had reservations for the two of us and it was in one word absolutely horrible. The service was just OK but everything else was nothing but a disaster. I ordered what I normally order, which is a a virgin passionfruit martini and they brought it out in a goblet with ice. Never in all the times you've ever been here have we never had this. So thankfully they remade it and it was done the correct way. Then my mom and I split the Caesar salad with just grilled chicken and lettuce and that was absolutely terrible. There were so much dark lettuce that I couldn't even eat any of it. And my chicken was so burnt or was hard and it was the worst food we've ever had there or anywhere in quite some time. It wasn't even that busy so I don't know why the food tasted so bad but it was and then again with the drink thing when that's never happened. It was really disappointing and disheartening for everything to be so bad when normally it is usually fantastic. So it may take a while for us to come back maybe in a few months but as of right now, we are staying very far away from this place that we want to loved so much.

Food and service were spectacular. Salmon and sea bass were excellent. Service could not have been better.

Great service and food. A little pricey, but worth it. Highly recommend the steak and seabass.

We had a wonderful dinner and we will come back! This was our first time and we were amazed by the quality of food and the level of the service.

Have dined at Bundalow previously on several occasions and always liked ii as long was dined downstairs. Unfortunately experienced a long wait for our table on Saturday night (in excess of 30 minutes) on a confirmed reservation. Noise level very high in main dining room, so if looking for more intimate dining experience best to avoid weekend nights. We have always dined downstairs as typically quieter but due to an event function on the adjacent patio it was very loud downstairs as well. In past have enjoyed dining there but due to the noise level on weekends is not a good choice for having conversation.

Our waiter was the bomb. Food was excellent. The whole evening was off the charts. Thanks, Bungalo. 

Food and service was outstanding! Outside patio seating was ok BUT much quieter than inside and great table for 2 couples to have enjoyable conversation! Don't know why we don't fine there more often - we will!

Fabulous, as it always is! Filet, salmon and halibut all delicious! We are never disappointed at Bungalow!

Great seafood, reasonable wine list, and good service. Cozy seating that feels like old Newport, which is a good thing.

Our server Sean was outstanding. Made an evening of great food full with outstanding service and conversation. He is a consummate professional!

Neighborhood gem - had the pork chop and my wife had the steak sandwich. both were excellent. Service is fantastic. very comfortable ambiance

Overall experience was good. The food overall was good. The NY strip was not the quality we expected. The lobster tail was delicious. Would recommend.

I ordered a salad which was supposed to have chicken, bacon, egg; you needed a detection system to find the smallest piece of any of the above, all you get is a big amount of chopped lettuce. A very popular restaurant, usually very satisfactory, but they need to stop misrepresenting this dish. On the other hand the steak was great so was the lobster,the desert , the bread was excellent and so was the service

We were very pleasantly surprised to find that, in So. Cal. on a crowded Saturday night we got great service and delicious food.
