I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Belt Room Bar at Sugar Bowl, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations on both occasions.
On my first visit, I opted for dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the slopes. I started with a hearty appetizer that set the tone for the meal. For my main course, I chose one of their signature dishes, and it was simply delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was impressive. Each bite was a testament to the care and attention that goes into their menu.
On my second visit, I decided to try their burger, and it did not disappoint! Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. The toppings were fresh, and the bun was just the right amount of toasted. Paired with a side of their crispy fries, it made for a satisfying meal that hit the spot after a long day outdoors.
The service at The Belt Room Bar was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Whether you’re looking for a full dinner or a casual bite, this bar has something for everyone.
Overall, The Belt Room Bar at Sugar Bowl is a fantastic dining option that I highly recommend. With great food, a cozy atmosphere, and excellent service, it’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal after a day of skiing. I can’t wait to return and try more of their offerings!
Took 40 minutes to get fries and a soup in an empty restaurant.

This is the number one bar in America's only snowbound village.

Greatest food and drinks on the summit
I recommend the French onion soup and a Bloody Mary!
We have lunch here occasionally after skiing. It’s a lively spot, often crowded. They service alcohol and table service for food. The menu is varied, prices are decent service is spotty. They have salads and sandwiches mostly. Burger is good as is the Mexican salad. Although, the day my wife got a salad the lettuce was not fresh.
The food is constantly fresh and tasty, staff members hands over great service. I love how clean it is and mood. Will visit here again.
Fun and family friendly, always! Staff is fantastic to work with and looking forward to many more seasons with the resort!
Had lunch at the dining room. Good service, limited menu, but varied. Excellent skiing. The belt room bar is also available for lunch and is a lively place.

Has great terrain, awesome for children, lots SF diversity for beginners and experts too. Village deck is a festive atmosphere too.
Great Day skiing at Sugar Bowl. Great Snow and great terrain. For anyone looking to get great skiing in, you should try Sugar Bowl! This year's snowfall has been amazing.
No lines great snow
Had an awesome Bloody Mary here yesterday. Just the right amount of spiciness accompanied with pickled green beans, olives, and cocktail onions. It's become a tradition to order a Bloody Mary whenever we ski....and the Belt Room Bloody Mary did not disappoint!
I don't really write reviews too often on TA and in general these days, I just don't have the time. But I wanted to quickly give a shout out to "ERIC" who did an amazing job this past weekend teaching our very spirited, strong willed son (6 years old) how to snowboard. He was amazingly patient, & very in tune with the two boys in the class. Our son improved a great deal during the 2 hour session. We've had other instructors in the past but there is something about Eric that really stood out to me. I just feel like some people have the right skills to teach kids and this guy has those skills. Additionally, I should mention that every single staff member that I ran into last weekend took the time to chat with me, introduce themselves, etc. From the cool guy running the "magic carpet" (an older gentleman from grass valley) to the young guys running the lifts, to the guy in the cafeteria or the nice lady in the sports shop, the parking attendents, the ticket folks, the bartender, etc. I swear every single person was polite, customer oriented, and just wanting to make sure we were having a fun time! I love Sugar bowl resort for this reason. Ski trips with kids can be super stressful if you don't go to the right place and if you don't have helpful staff around, but sugar bowl has it down. It's organized, clean, safe, and truly they have a team of sincerely caring people. This is about our 3rd trip there and honestly we have never had a bad experience. And it would suck to have a bad experience because of how much skiing / boarding costs $$$ these days! Oh I should also mention clean bathrooms, good coffee, awesome bloody marys and good salads in the cafeteria, lots of perks! I just can't wait to return. Thanks again guys please keep up the good work! :)
