But the food here is straight up. Amazing! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but what introduced me to this place was their burgers which are just incredible. I just got one after so long and I just couldn't help but notice that it looks like the Real life version of the Krabby Patty

“Wooooowwww such a gem of a find! I was hungry looking for a kebab and came across A&V. The warmth and hospitality I encountered were when walking in from A&V was amazing! They explained everything patiently when I asked what to order.

I ended up selecting a chicken shawarma plate and soup and wooooow it was the best chicken shawarma I’ve had in SoCal and I’ve tried a loooot of shwarma places. The chicken was cooked fresh over a charcoal grill infusing it with so much smoke and flavor only a charbroiled cooker can have.

The combination of everything in the soft lavash was sooooo delicious and super generous in terms of portions! I could only eat half of it. Another main highlight are the potatoes! While most kebab places just give fries, A&V hand cut their fires and infused them with garlic oil and cilantro which paired super well with the shwarma.

I would whole heartedly again here again for a shwarma fix.

“It was my first time at this place, on a friend’s recommendation. The cumin spiced meat was so great!

Usually not a fan of lamb, but the lamb skewers from this place was pretty good, and it also didn’t stink too badly.

The beef kebab was amazing too, the beef was tender and well marinated! The chicken kebab felt a bit dry and not as flavourful compared to the other so I would not recommend.

It’s a good place to socialize as you needed to wait for the skewers to be grilled.

Went on a Saturday, around 730pm, and waited around 30-45 mins for the table to be ready, but this was WELL worth the wait!“

“The kebab here are delicious. I was finally able to try this place for lunch and it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and polite with us. My wife and I came here after her doctor appointment because it's in the same plaza.

My wife got the chicken kebab plate with hummus and macaroni. I got the beef lule kebab plate with Shirazi and French fries. They make it fresh right when you order so it can take a couple of minutes. We are our food inside of the place so they brought our dish out to us. They also give complimentary lentil soup for my wife. We both really like how seasoned the chicken and beef lule kebab were. We'll be sure to come back again to try another dish.“

“This is not just a kabob house, it’s also a specialty butcher with good quality meat. Their kabobs though, are very tasty, one of the best in SoCal. I always order luleh kabobs to go whenever I’m around and for family gatherings. I’d definitely recommend everyone to try it.“

“I had one of my best persian food experiences here in LA. Can’t recommend it enough. If you are looking to have pure persian food taste, Chef Z should be top on your list.
We had Kashke-Bademjan which is a eggplant-based appetizer, so delicious. We had two type of Kebabs (Koobideh and and Chenjeh) and both was amazing amazing. The Kebabs melted down when you bite them.“

Now, if you are curious enough about my "rating scheme", here's "the moment of truth. I am a music photographer who travels the world with the worlds greatest musical talents (Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Rolling Stones or Rammstein, to name a few) for almost 40 years. When being asked "where do you live" I tended to ask "in hotels". At my peak, I "shot" 250 shows a year. Will say: been there, saw and tasted it, and a lot, as I may say and much to the dismay of my doctor who is in my back to lose a few pounds. Quite a few, as I may add, which is why my wife and I walk ten thousand steps per day, where- and whenever we can - and explore a lot of new exciting places - places you may oversee when just driving by. While I love to share my experience with others, I am sometimes shocked how people use their "power of word" to down-rate amazing places because of minor incidents (in my all time favourite​ restaurant Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza the owner was even called a racist as he refused to toast the (free) bread in his packed restaurant - they simply do not offer toasted bread, as no French​ place does, as I may add). Or I just read "Chicken piccata so over-salted I hope the dog enjoys the leftovers tomorrow, I brought home most of the dish." Did they speak to their service? How could the restaurant learn that something was wrong when patrons even have their leftovers​ boxed to take home? As a dog owner,​ I want to take the writer and shake him or her really bad and say "you give over-salted food to your dog? Anyone with a bit of brain understands this is a horrible idea...​ I hope you agree. So If I had the say on this portal, I would offer just to see ratings of my friends. So I would see what the ratings were by like-minded people. Sadly, I have no say. I try not to compare apples with oranges. A place like this simply does not compare to "The Ritz". At first,​ I assume that a restaurant is clean, they do not greet you with a gun - and they deliver whatever they promise. I do not give stars for things that are expected. In my rating scheme, three or more stars are awarded if they actually exceeded my expectation. Four, if I am sure I will come back. “Korean-Chinese-style skewers place. They have this setup where the skewers would *automatically* spin! 🤯 (I'm way more impressed by this machine than I should be. 🤣) Skewers are really yummy; lamb's my favorite. 😋 Also they have the special kind of chapssal tangsuyuk that is made from sticky rice flour and is really fluffy and chewy; I always get it here!“

“Great location for Mediterranean food ingredients are high-quality. I can tell because I don’t feel heavy and bloated after I eat here. I’ve been coming here for years. I get the number 13, which is a beef and chicken combo. You can’t go wrong with the quality of chicken here it’s never overcooked very moist and a lot of flavor. Portions are large and filling. Highly recommend anybody that visiting the Glendale area or atwater to stop by and order anything from the menu you won’t be disappointed. The owner is amazing as well. The staff is very courteous.“
