Corner Bakery is consistently good. Only thing I could fault them for is only having 1 pasta available for lunch in the middle of the day (~12:30) and coffee running canisters empty. Otherwise, everything was good. Nothing out of the ordinary but good enough for lunch meet up with a buddy of mine.

We had a very nice tine here. The guy who waited on us and brought the food, napkins, drinks, etc was very nice. He spilled a little of a latè and brought a fresh one on the house.

The food was bland. *Mac n cheese is a main dish, and I think that sets the tone for the palate of all their other dishes.
I was not impressed with the pesto turkey or the chicken carbonara that I ordered on the 2-dish special.
The service was excellent, which made the uneventful meal so much more disappointing.
The worst part of the experience was the scent in the air. It was not an appetizing odor. When I went outside to get a breath, it was only worse when I stepped back in the restaurant.
It's a bakery, and around 4 pm on this visit, it smelled much more like a gym or wet towels.
Parking: It is in the same parking lot as the shoe warehouse and Chase Bank on Plummer, across the street from the Northridge mall.
Kid-friendliness: Menu seems geared for kids. Upgraded Cafeteria-ish menu.

Normally I give this Corner Bakery location a 4-5 star rating on their food. This time I gave the food a 3 star rating for this visit. My visit on Sunday 9/22/2024, the Chicken Pesto Sandwich, which I’ve ordered many, many times, was not as good as my past visits when I ordered the Chicken Pesto Sandwich. This time my sandwich was dry. There was very little Pesto Aioli and House Vinaigrette on my sandwich. I normally ask for extra Pesto Aioli and House Vinaigrette on the side just in case, but this time I didn’t. Other than the sandwich being dry in my opinion, I still recommend this location and will be going back in the future. This is not regular occurrence.

Came here with my 2 kids. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich & soup which came with a bowl of mixed fruit salad and my kids ordered the kids chocolate chip pancakes. Waited at our table for the waiter to bring our food and I immediately noticed that the bread on my sandwich was burned on both sides and my mixed fruit salad cup just had a scoop of diced cantaloupe. My kids chocolate chip pancakes were overcooked. So I took our order back to the counter where I ended up paying for another children’s plain pancake order. Several minutes later another waiter brought us our food. My plate just contained a 1/2 sandwich on fresh bread but no fruit cup and my kids pancakes looked and tasted like your run of the mill microwaveable frozen pancakes. With 2 kids I didn’t want to wait any longer to place a complaint with the guy at the counter so we left. Save your time & money and avoid this place!
