Said the wait would be 20 minutes. Not particularly friendly or welcoming hostess. Waited for a while, looking at all the empty tables. Not a good feeling about the vibe. Left and went to a nice restaurant.

I’ve been going to el Torito to since I was young because my mom loves the restaurant ! And so do I. The food is consistently good and I’ve tried many different dishes. This time I got the burrito especial which was delicious! The tortilla had an enchilada sauce on it that was very flavorful and good. I very much enjoyed it! I came here for some happy hour bites, and I’m so glad I did! The cantina offers happy hour every day from 3 pm to 9 pm—who doesn’t love happy hour every single day?

I tried the chicken sopes ($6) and the street corn off the cob ($4). Both were delicious, but be warned—there’s a bit of a kick to them, so next time, I’ll ask for a little less spice.
