I took my wife here tonight for dinner because she wanted ramen. She never been here but I have a while back. I checked on Yelp if there was a wait and it said there was no wait. When we walked in, my wife wanted a booth so we waited like 5 minutes for them to clean it up. Once we got seated, I ordered the spicy edamame for my wife to start off. Then we ordered our ramen noodle. My wife got her at spicy level and added mushrooms. I got my ramen at spicy level, took out the bean sprouts and corn. The spicy edamame came out first and my wife loved them. Then our ramen came out and it looked delicious. They forgot the mushrooms on my wife dish so I let them know and they brought it out. The ramen was so good and my wife loved her ramen soup as well. The service we received was excellent tonight and we had 2 different waiter check with us if everything was good. Food is amazing I had there Stone Pot Curry I think it's called its really and good and also afford if it fits your budget I spent only $21 for one soda and that curry it was delicious.

Food and set up are great. The service however is some of the worst I've ever come across. Online orders made incorrectly and trying to call them is impossible. I'm not sure why they even have a phone number listed as no one ever answers it. Fun test, try going in and calling and see if the phone even rings.My experience with other Kopan locations have had none of these service issues, which makes me sad that the one closest to my office is so terrible.

The definition of mehWait staff doesn't seem to want to be bothered to umm, wait on the customers...Main (?) waiter gives me the creeps. Not cause he wears a mask every day in 2024, cause he's just rude and weird. Maybe work on service, if you work in the service industry? If not, maybe cleaning building late at night without people to bug (?) you seems a better fit.Further, they seem amused(?) telling me they didn't have things in stock...not sure how me having to take second string picks is funny.Appetizer portion was small... Like open rudeness from the staff.I'll deal with all that for good food but... The ramen is so bland may as well get top ramen instead... Won't be going back.The manager (? who knows...) seems to be more interested in kinda wandering around doing inventory (?) than perhaps managing or checking in with customers.P. S. My husband and I came to eat here because the food looked good (which it was) the service was awful. Our server came to the table, we ordered ramen. We wanted to order a sushi roll as well, but we hadn’t decided what roll to pick so we asked if we could order the ramen first, then the roll and he said yes so we ordered ramen and 2 waters and a sprite.When he came back to drop the waters and soda he only brought one water.We had to keep flagging him down, and even then he wouldn’t come to finish taking our order.He would go to other tables and take their orders, he didn’t ever ask us how are food was.I noticed he was very hyper like he was on drugs.He was hard at hearing too we had to repeat ourselves too it was not my best experience.Dietary restrictions: Vegan friendly
I have been going to this place for years even before they remodeled it. It was good and food was ok as well. But, my recent visit was disappointing. The hostess was rude and not helpful. Place was packed, we put our name to wait for an hour, went to Daiso instead of waiting in the crowded waiting area. We went back to check after the hour and asked for the bar sitting, the girl said no, because it wouldn't be fair for those waiting, well, we were waiting for an hour and she still insisted that it wasn't fair for those waiting. What the heck? That's my last time, we got a text 1 hour later that table was ready, 2 hours for sushi? Nah, there're many other great places around.

It was a long wait but the food was ok. We ordered beers(wanted the small size but they were out I think so we got the large beers). Ramen was ok( have my fav ramen place down in Sawtelle). If I don't want to drive all the way down there it was a good option.

I wanted to have some form of sushi tonight and I believe Kapan Sushi & Ramen did the trick!!! It is small but very nice and traditional in the sense of a Japanese feel for a restaurant!! The people assisting me were very nice and I wish there was some way I can thank them all for their amazing service. I can't wait to come back!!!

Close at 10:30 but don't take orders past 10? How's that make sense. Just wanted a quick bite before I headed back to Bakersfield. It's 9:58 and they only allow to go orders. Once again -- makes no sense. Whatever. 1 star.
