“My absolute new favorite restaurant! We were visiting family in LA from Chicago and they took us here, I ended up going three times in my one week visit. Cheese stuffed zaatar and the sojouk kachopuri were my favorite and the garlic chicken wrap was my husbands. Honestly everything we had was delicious and the kids kept asking for the pepperoni pizza and mini pizzas.“

This restaurant has the layout, and feel of Japanese restaurants from days gone by. However, at the same time, it's very modern and stylish.

I entered with my Mom, and we were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was very friendly and had a great personality. It turns out he was very knowledgeable as well. I ordered the Salmon Shioyaki Entree, and Mom ordered the Miso Marinated Black Cod Entree. The Entrees come with Soup & Salad. The salad was subtly flavorful. With the greens, vegetables, crunchy topping, and dressing combining to create a delicious starting salad. The Miso Soup was very flavorful, and well balanced. They were both wonderful ways to start a meal. My Salmon Shioyaki was incredible. The Shio (Salt), enhances the natural flavor of the Salmon, and helps in browning, and creating crispy tasty salmon skin. The flesh was firm, yet tender and flaky. Just a squeeze of lemon, and it was perfection exemplified. The accompaniments, and rice, along with the delicious mixed Vegetables made it a complete meal. I had a taste of the Miso Black Cod. The glazed Miso flavor was undeniable, as the Black Cod melted in my mouth, ending in deliciousness.

A Japanese meal embodies that the sum of all parts, equals the whole. The Entrees here are examples of that philosophy.

The prices here are well worth it, considering what you get. The whole staff here is very friendly. Our server helped make our dining experience fantastic. We hope to see him again. We will be back,“

“We came to Paragon Bar and Grill for brunch right after my daughter’s graduation from CSUN. I found the place through a quick internet search and didn’t really know what to expect, but I was able to make a reservation online for a party of 13 with no issue. Our reservation was right when they opened at 11am on a Sunday, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves—just a couple of people at the bar. The space definitely leans more bar than grill, but it worked well for our group. Very low-key and relaxed. The menu had plenty of options, which was great since we had a few picky eaters. Everyone found something they liked, and the food was excellent across the board. The service stood out—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We didn’t order many drinks, but even so, I was surprised at how reasonable the bill was for such a large group. Only downside: the bathroom could use a refresh. It’s what you’d expect in a neighborhood bar—functional but not the highlight of the visit. Would absolutely go back. Great experience overall, and I really appreciate the staff for helping make the day special.“

“I love eating here! The service is always so awesome. I love that it's tucked away, and every time I've brought someone to eat here they don't expect that the restaurant is here. As for the food, it's DELICIOUS! My son is picky, and even he couldn't deny how good the food is. The ramen is amazing, it's so good and the portions are hearty. I usually end up getting a ramen combo with a chashu bowl. Now, I get to eat there AND have delicious leftovers. My family have tried other ramen places around and we keep coming back to Futaba because it's number one in our eyes. The flavor is always on point. Definitely recommend.“

“Stopped here on the way to the airport and I was not disappointed! I had a ham, cheese, mushroom and onion omelette (not on the menu exactly) with country potatoes and it was delicious! The coffee was good, the food came fast and got and the server was great. I'll be eating here again when I'm back in town. But they are cash only, luckily I had some on hand . . .“

“My husband and I usually go during happy hour for their poke nachos and crispy brussel sprouts but have tried a few other things. Everything we've tried has been delicious but occasionally varies in preparation quality. We went on March 18th and ordered the poke nachos but they were not as good. The portion was a lot smaller than usual, so we decided to order another one. The second one came out great (I included a picture of the one prepared correctly) and that's when we realized they left off ingredients from the first one sent. They were still good but it was interesting that the two plates were that different. We didn't mention this to our waiter and I'm sure they would have been accommodating but maybe plates should be checked for quality before they're delivered?

Another note, we usually sit at the bar but we got a table the last time since the bar was packed. We were obviously fine with this but the cleanliness was extremely lacking. The menus had food on them and greasy fingerprints. I'm also not sure why the booths are never wiped down?? The tables are cleaned but the food just lands on the seats. Then you're wondering what else isn't cleaned, look around, and notice all the other spots that aren't wiped down. So gross.“

“Been going for the last month, tried almost all KBBq’s this is by FAR the best one. Quality is always great and the owners is very nice. I’ve noticed a diversity of employees that makes the experience all more genuine. The price is beyond affordable, the arrays of meat are delicious, and the side dishes add authenticity that can’t be replicated. The staff are beyond attentive at refilling waters, providing meat, cleaning, and checking in. I’ve noticed the owner takes the time to remember his customers and is always having a pleasant conversation that is heartwarming. Parking is accessible, the restaurant looks aesthetically pleasing and their grills are impeccable. I urge everyone and anyone to try this restaurant! ❤️“

“We've been to the Burger Lounge in Sherman Oaks but last night we were meeting friends who live in Calabasas so Northridge felt like a great mid-point option. There were four of us. I'm an extremely picky eater!! With that said, Bella (Front of House) took my order and even repeated it back twice which included her reading from what she punched into the computer. When my order came to the table it was 100% inaccurate. Kareem (Shift Leader) was very apologetic and wanted to immediately take care of it, which I appreciated. But, I wanted to take it a step further. I wasn't upset but curious as to how this occurred as I knew Bella had inputted the order into the computer correctly. She & Kareem were uncertain as to why it happened. Bella kept apologizing and I learned she was new. I told Bella it was not her fault but she insisted on taking ownership and Kareem wanted to do whatever it took to make me happy. My career involves running a company and training employees to take responsibility and therefore expeditiously turning the situation around. It's all about recovery and between how Burger Lounge trains their staff and the type of genuine human beings that work there....Burger Lounge succeeds at elevating the dining experience! BTW, the food was fabulous and if you're going to add sugar to it, their shakes are FUNomenal. Kareem & Bella are definitely above & beyond employees and the others working there were all happy & helpful. This is the gold standard and a recipe that should be non- negotiable for any business. It was a gift that the error occurred as it showed us what an outstanding establishment Burger Lounge is with outstanding employees. Huge thank you to Kareem & Bella. “We walked up and weren't sure if the place was open, but luckily some other patrons walked up at the same time so we followed them in. So glad we did! This is one of those Chinese places that opened when Adam was a lad and hasn't changed its approach since. The carpet looked original (and therefore quite worn, but that is literally the only thing I would change if I bought the place. I'd pay the chef whatever they wanted to stay, keep the service staff, keep the decor, and above all else, keep the menu. Traditional Chinese-American restaurant menu (quite long but mostly just variations on the same dozen recipes, swapping out proteins), but extremely well executed. We are new residents of the Valley and we will be regulars here.“

“Highly recommend if you like Korean food. I love this place! The owner is so incredibly kind and generous and she pays attention to details. She has noticed many times that I am tired from work and gave me a little shot of coffee while I waited for my order. She always sneaks in little treats and takes care of me. “The description of Ike's to me made it sound like Fat Sal's and I was excited. Truth of the matter is Ike's holds its own, and it didn't disappoint. It has a great menu mixed with Meat and Veggie options. The Mrs. and I split and highly recommend the Captain Carl and the Meatless Mike (I concur "best vegan meatball in America", and Our 3 y/o gives the grilled cheese 👍👍. Our 9y/o swears it was the best grilled cheese she ever had.“

“My family and I went to try Z Pizza for the first time. We were ending our busy evening to have dinner there. When we walked in we were greeted by the chef. I asked what time they close? He said 10pm. I looked at my phone and it was 9:45. I said to the chef "Looks like you guys are closing soon? It's ok thanks. We don't want to keep you working late" the chef said "no, no, no. Welcome to Z Pizza. What can I make for you and your family? Our menu is right over here". I felt bad but we ordered and the chef was phenomenal. I asked his name and he said "Fernando". He was very knowledgeable of the menu, patient towards our decisions and very hospitable. At this point, I didn't mind waiting because the place was so clean inside. Nonetheless, we grab our food, went home and ate. Omg, was the food awesome! Thank you Chef Fernando. Because of you we'll definitely be back.“

“From the moment my daughter and I walked in, we were greeted cheerfully. It took a moment for a waiter to show himself, but I was really impressed when he took our 'specialized ' order for appetizers and drinks without writing it down. Very fast service. He gave us enough time to enjoy the appetizers before coming to ask about entrees. When asked about certain cuts of steak, he was very knowledgeable on each one and how the taste would be. These again were not written down but perfectly delivered. When I asked him for suggestions on the cheesecake dessert, he was extremely helpful with informing us what he, himself, had tried as well as thoughts on other cheesecakes other patrons had eaten. His recommendations were a thousand percent on point. (Some servers seem to listen but they don't really...this guy did and was simply fantastic). He was very situationally aware and seemed to know when my daughter or I needed him (great technique). He provided a bag of things that I had ordered to go right as we were finishing up our cheesecake. There was no rush. We finished our drinks as he provided the bill. Our waiter took the bill and payment, was gone for maybe 2 minutes, said thank you with a smile and left to let us totally finish up and prepare to leave. I know that I am not by any means the best tipper...but I waitressed myself in younger years and my server blew me away. On a check, I gave him $40 on the credit card and then another $40 in cash. I'm not bragging about it. But I am saying that he did such a wonderful job that he deserve a big tip. (It was only my daughter and I) I think this young man definitely deserved a large tip. The Cheesecake Factory - a beautiful place with fantastic servers and hostess's. (At least at the Northridge mall.) Thank you again for the beautiful good and the exceptional service!
