Me and my family wanted some chicken for lunch, so we came to dhc for the first time. What a great choice. I’m not a big spice person, so I just got lite mild, and it was perfect. The staff was very nice, Richard explained the different spice levels and he explained them very well. We had a great time and I recommend coming to this spot if you’re in the area!

Whoever was it who offered a crispy breaded piece of white meat chicken, soaked it in hot sauce, and put it in a bun for husband must have been settling a score. Oh, yeah, that is the legend of Nashville hot chicken. But in Novato, it’s just another fast food place when the lines at In ‘n Out across the lot are too long. At Dave’s, you get the most ungainly strip of breaded chicken sticking out of a round bun. A hot dog bun would have been more appropriate. Levels of heat can be selected but crispiness cannot. My chicken was as crispy as ground glass and with all the sauce and stuff they put on it, would simply not stay in the bun. It was a mess. I don’t think I’ll get a second date at Dave’s Hot Chicken,
