Where do I start….First, I rarely write reviews, but after visiting this gem 4 times for brunch and lunch and loving every bite, I had to tell others about this find. The baked goods are other worldly, with rich flavors and the freshest ingredients. Very high quality. The avocado toast with smoked salmon was the best I’ve ever tasted. Yummy soufflé bites. The breakfast burrito and pesto chicken sandwich were both delicious. I live nearby and working from home I’m tempted every morning to walk to Kitchen Cafe and feast on their amazing food. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is fun and attentive! Love this place. My new food heaven.

We started the morning out planning to have a family breakfast at a regular haunt in San Rafael. Upon arrival, much to our dismay, the restaraunt was closed for vacation. Rather than shedding tears, we quickly decided to improvise and search for a suitable replacement. I typed "breakfast near me" in Google and was bombarded with slew of chain restaraunts. However, I did notice a little gem that had quite a few reviews with 5 stars...Kitchen! I did my due diligence and read some of the reviews. They were all glowing regarding service, food quality, and an inviting atmosphere. I then looked at their menu along with pictures of their pastry items and dishes. If that wasn't enough vetting, I decided to call. Surely something would jump out at me, steering me away from Kitchen. I could not have been more wrong! The young lady on the phone was a delight. I asked her if they had sit down dining, which she pleasantly indicated that they did. It was at that time, I decided I would recommend Kitchen to my other family members. I told the young lady that we would be coming in...she responded, " we look forward to meeting you"
We arrived at the restaraunt, which is nestled in one of the previous Hamilton Air Force base airplane hangars. The renovation of the hangars into commercial spaces was done very well and retains much of the Hamilton AFB history.
Upon entrance ro the Kitchen we were greeted by very friendly staff, who answered our every question ( and there were many). We decided to have dessert first ( please don't judge) additionally, we ordered an asian salad, breakfast burrito, avocado salmon toast, and a country breakfast. As a family, we generally pass all of the food and desserts around and share the cuisine. Out of the five of us, there wasn't a negative thing to say about anything.
We met the owner, Deb, who displayed all of the superior qualities of a highly successful business owner. Additionally, Deb informed us that she caters, which we have already added to our plans for the near future.
In closing, our misfortune of not being able to eat at our normally frequented cafe turned into a wonderful accident. Not to worry though, Kitchen, has been placed at the top of our go to list of amazing places to have a great cup of Joe and a pastry or a full sitdown breakfast or lunch.
Well done Deb and the rest of your staff. I will proudly tell all of my friends and family about our amazing discovery. We look forward to getting to know you and your staff on a first name basis. Again...Well done!!

Such a perfect early lunch, sitting outside. The blue berry corn bread muffin has to be tried, amazing. I especially love the crunch of the crispy edges. I got the Chinese Salad with Chicken and Avocado added. Outside and inside chairs could be softer and more comfortable, with cushions.

I am a Chef and was My 1st time… founded on Google Map.. ?
1st you see smily faces and you see the sweets tells you can trust them .. I ordered Cherry Scone made from Cornflour?Vegie Omlet with Avocado?, Coffee..
I do recommend 100% satisfying…
Because I am Chef in Mediterranean Cuisine, I have 1 recommendation for the management for any Vegie dine in the plates instead of wood it’s better to be real China or stainless steel plates because woods are very hard to wash the meet fat or fats from bacon or cover wooden plates with baking sheets .. only for veggies dishes … all was good am happy will be back with my crew next time ??️?️?️

I had lunch with a friend at Kitchen today. It's located in a fun area, the hangars at Hamilton so you can walk the flat sidewalks or out around the restored marsh before or after your meal. The atmosphere is spare, modern, clean and friendly. The staff are all wonderful, polite and helpful. I had a delicious avocado toast on kalamata bread and my friend had tuna salad with crispy thinly sliced radishes, red onion, not at all fishy tasting. They had some delicious looking pastries also. We sat inside and after eating moved to a table and chairs outside to continue talking. The restroom was very clean. We have found a great new place to meet for lunch!
Vegetarian options: My avocado toast was vegetarian. There is an option to add an egg for those who aren't vegetarian.
Parking: Lots of parking in a big lot. It felt very safe leaving my car there.
Wheelchair accessibility: Area is flat with wheelchair accessible curbs, doorway into restaurant is wide and restroom has an accessible stall.

Got a tri-tip sandwich (toasted) for lunch. It was incredible. I have been thinking about every day since. Can’t wait to go back and bring people. Also try the Cinnamon twists. They were like Palmiers - flakey, buttery, and delicious.

Hidden gem! Everything is delicious and the space is lovely. Open, airy, welcoming (they even offer a tray of tiny hearts!), easy parking, and right next to the trail head for the lovely Hamilton portion of the SF Bay Trail. A fabulous spot for grab and go, dine in, or take out. I've been back two days in a row and very happy with my orders. Today's vegan Caesar salad + lemon mascarpone cheesecake were divine! Another nice thing is that if you fall in love with the food, you can also hire them for catering!
