I know folks in Novato love this place. I don't feel the same way. I went because my sister visited from the City & she likes the place. She specifically likes the waffle. This time the waffle was undercooked, raw inside. The service was awful because the place is so busy & also because the workers don't seem to work well together. Their coffee is awful. I came to Marvin’s Breakfast Club with a friend for breakfast. The atmosphere was nice, and the food overall was good. I had pancakes and my friend had waffles with eggs. Everything was cooked well, and the portions were fair.
The biggest letdown for me was the syrup. It tasted watery and bland, which really took away from the experience. For a breakfast spot, especially one that serves pancakes and waffles, I expected better. A richer, more flavorful syrup...
