I’ve been coming to Sam’s Place for a long time, and now it has a new owner—also named Sam. He’s a very kind and hardworking young man. During my visit, I saw him going to every table to check on customers, making sure everyone was happy, and even helping clean up. That kind of dedication is rare! I truly hope he keeps everything the same because I’ve always loved the excellent food quality and generous portions here. Wishing the new Sam all the best—he’s off to a great start!

I’ve been to Sam’s Place more times than I can count, and every visit hits the spot. The menu is huge — packed with variety — and everything is house-made, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell they put real love into their food.
What really makes this place stand out is the service. The entire staff gives off such a warm, homey vibe — they treat you like family, not just a customer. It’s easily one of the best food spots in all of Novato — consistent, cozy, and delicious.

The food was alright, neither bad nor special, the service was beyond exemplary and the server was FANTASTIC, But I absolutely CANNOT recommend this place based on the absolutely terrible pricing. Far too expensive for what you get, especially with better tasting, cheaper options around the same area.

It thought the place was great. The food was pretty good, service was pleasant. One thing is that I do feel that the prices were on the high end. A sandwich, an omelette, and 2 coffees was $60 after tip. For a diner atmosphere I probably wouldn’t make it a regular go-to, but I will go back occasionally for sure!
