I'm only rating 2 stars for the service. The people were really nice and friendly but the food is straight trash. The only saving grace are the greens which is an unexpected concoction of collard greens, kale and cabbage. Collards stand alone so Idk what would possess them to force this weird, unnecessary trio but it worked. It was the most flavorful thing that I ate on the plate, but still nothing close to being amazing. The red beans and rice were ok, the potato salad was bland, the chicken tasted boiled and like they just slathered store brought bbq sauce on top. Sauce was good, but didn't taste impressive enough to be homemade. They were out of Mac and cheese, out of yams and I'm happy I got talked out of getting the plantains since everything else is not so good. I can appreciate that they have their own homemade drinks. That was a nice touch. My meal was $14 and for what I got, I feel I should have paid half.

I'm not mad at this spot. The shrimp and grits was good even though there was madd more vegies than shrimp and their wrap was pretty solid. The local kombucha they had was flat but I don't blame them for that.

I love this place! Especially the j*** chicken bowl and salmon wrap. They also have a community barbecue every month!

My daughter and I ordered the vegan plate and a couple extra sides. I was going to order something extra for my roommate, but the bag was so heavy I figured there was plenty of food for three of us. There was. It was hearty, flavorful, varied in texture and taste, and totally nourishing. Who knew behind the graffiti exterior this place was cooking up healthy fare for vegans and carnivores alike. Just know that this isn't a sit-down restaurant - there is one small table inside, and sometimes I guess they have tables outside, but it's primarily a take-out place. Oh, and did I say what a bargain it was? $21 fed all three of us to satisfaction.

I got the salmon soul plate with greens, quinoa and lentils, a side of potato salad and a mango ginger drink. Everything, even the mango drink, were homemade in house and fresh. The juice was delicious and tasted like real mango with bits of ginger. The quinoa was really good and flavorful. The greens were tangy and well-seasoned (collard greens I believe). The salmon was a huge portion and he gave me a generous helping of the cilantro sauce, which paired really well with the fish. Even the potato salad was great. All of it was vegan too (except for the fish). Overall delicious food, would totally go again - and it's black-owned!

Very generous portions, so reasonably priced, and SO DELICIOUS! The owner is also the nicest guy and makes all the food himself. He also makes the sauces and they have great, creative options :):) Highly recommend :):)
