They do make a larger option (unlike SPG), but I don't really want more of this one. I think there is too much parm, and the corners had very little of anything on them. The flavor was off overall, but it will still get eaten around my house, just much less quickly. SPG's too salty for me which is why I ventured away from them, but now I will go back because they are otherwise ideal (when I'm not getting thin crust or Chicago-style). Granted I have never had the real thing when it comes to Detroit-style, so take my review with a grain of salt. Maybe this is closer to the real thing? Anyway, it probably deserves 2.5 stars from me. I hope if you get it, you love it. It is hot cheese on bread after all. Thank the baby jeebus! :)

OK this may not be fair - but it's very much not clear that this is an online only delivery place. I was craving Detroit style pizza and happened to be in the area, so I drove here only to find out it's not a sit down restaurant. It's like a ghost kitchen or whatever the term is.Super disappointing. The pizza may be amazing, but until it's a sit down restaurant near where I live, I will be missing out.

As an alternative to Square Pie Guys, they're pretty good. Flavorwise, I prefer SPG, but SPG doesn't give you an option for a larger pizza, so that's a plus here. The wings here are better than the wings at SPG, though, and I like ordering wings with my pizza.Customer service is great. Had an issue with the delivery, and the restaurant was quick to correct the delivery driver's mistake. If you order delivery, though, do it through the DoorDash app, not through 8Mile's website. That way, if their delivery driver fu..messes up as bad as mine did, you can easily report them directly to DoorDash. Pretty sure the driver stole my food...

I've ordered from here like 6 times, the pizzas are great.I've gotten a few of their specials and they're all delicious. I think the fun guy forno is my favorite, though. They don't skimp on the toppings, and as a result sometimes the pizzas "sweat" a little, so I leave the box open after I get it to let some of the steam dissipate. this isn't necessary, but I find it keeps the moisture at the correct level. The prices are reasonable and the toppings come loaded. I'll keep ordering from here when I need my pizza fix.

pretty solid grandma/detroit solid pie. Like another review said, a little soggy on the bottom but I imagine that's due to getting it delivered. Killer crust and tasty sauce. Plus they don't up charge on the soda -- $5.95 for a 6 pack!

Rarely do I write a bad review about good food but the venue they serve out of is a disaster. Serving dozens of restaurants from one counter is absurdly slow and inconvenient. Almost every patron there seemed frustrated. I ordered on the phone and was clearly told 15 minutes. I was ten minutes away so I got gas first and arrived 16 minutes after ordering. After waiting 5 minutes to talk to the woman helping people, she said it would be a other 15 minutes until my food was ready. At any standard establishment this would elicit an apology, at least, or a free item at best. Nothing at this impersonal vending machine of an establishment. So I went to wait in my car for a other 15 until I got a text that my food was ready! Finally I could pick it up and go home...except I went in to wait another 15 minutes until I could be helped! So at this point it took me 45 minutes to get lukewarm pizza that I was told would take 15. I definitely wouldn't have paid 30 dollars for a pizza that takes 45 minutes at the end of a long day. So I felt tricked by being told 15 minutes for tepid pizza. That said, it seems like the pizza would have been great if it was hot, but the delivery was so terrible, this deserves 2 stars for otherwise good pizza.Parking: None

Absolute trash. As a Detroit native, I've experienced Detroit style pizza from the restaurants referenced on 8mileπ website. In no way, shape or form should they be comparing themselves to places like Buddy's. Our pepperoni pizza (12x17) had a sprinkling of pepperoni, a tiny amount of sauce dribbled on the cheese but none at all under the cheese, and hardly any caramelized cheese on the edges. It was dry. It was sad. It was barely pizza, let alone Detroit style.

I've been contemplating trying a Detroit style pizza for quite some time. Upon ordering one, I was not disappointed. The unusual layout of the pizza with the sauce on top of the cheese makes for a different flavor which is very appetizing. I had the pepperoni and was not disappointed. Only downside is delivery ended up taking a while, due to traffic, not their fault. Upon review, the next time I do this, and I will, I'll get the larger Pizza

Friendly and helpful staff. I appreciated the ability to customize.Pizza was soggy and undercooked. Caramelized onions were barely caramelized. Sauce had little flavor.

Pizza wasn’t bad but I feel like for the price it wasn’t really worth it, instead I’d recommend Square Pie guys or the frozen motor city pizzas.Ordered over the phone and was quoted about 15 minutes. Drove over after 20 and the kiosk thing (which requires a code sent in a follow up email after ordering) said it would take 15. There wasn’t a person to talk to anywhere in the building that I was able to find, even called out a couple times.Eventually got a text saying the order was ready for pickup about 10 minutes afterwards, but still took another 5 before it was deposited into a box where I was able to get it with yet another code.

Darn good pies, Detroit style : these square pies are dense, so order accordingly (max 2 slices per adult). Both the combo and pepperoni pies were good, the crust was crisp and cheesy, the toppings fresh and hot.I'd definitely hit up this spot again, 4 stars.

The pizza was fine. But they added an automatic 20% tip AFTER hitting the pay button in the online order, which was through the Longfellow Food Hall website. It was not included in the stated total, nor was there any note about a mandatory tip, or even a place to enter a voluntary tip. I thought maybe I just missed it but went back to start a fake order to see if there was some field I missed but nope. This was a pick up order - I'm not opposed to tipping on take out especially since things are still tough these days, but all fees should be stated up front and not automatically added after payment. I contacted 8 Mile twice through their website - tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a technical error and they'd provide a refund. Never heard back. Shady.

When a pizza place makes pizza the way you like it, you gotta Yelp about it! That's because word of mouth is the best advertising. I got a Sicilian Pepperoni w/ mushrooms. The dough was airy soft and thick. It was covered with a creamy blanket of cheese, covered with cupped pepperoni and chopped mushrooms. When I tried to pull off that first square, that gooey cheese wouldn't let go. Just sinking your teeth into that thick cheese and airy dough, makes this a great comfort food. Oh, and that crispy cheese along the edges....makes the pizza complete. Price-wise, not as expensive as Square Pie Guys (SPG) and has topping options. Note: "8Mile Pi" is a ghost kitchen inside the Adeline Food Hall. So there's no dining room. The address is 5333 Adeline, in North Oakland.

Not particularly good. We've been ordering from the cloud kitchen location for a while now and it's been decent... but they're closed Sundays, so we ordered from this location. Figured it had to be at least as good, right? Nope. "Firehouse with ranch drizzle, Detroit style" came with honey rather than ranch. Crust reminded me of Little Caesars... fluffy, textureless and devoid of any of that cheesy crunch you'd expect from Detroit style. (Maybe this was the Sicilian? Disappointing in any case.) Only a tiny blob of tomato sauce across 1-2 slices, the rest just left dry. Salad was decent. Won't order again here. Might do the cloud kitchen again.
