We had a great dinner here. We had enchiladas, fajitas and the empanada. Everything was great. Service was attentive.

Food and drinks were tasty! Service was not great. Worth going back for food just allow enough time for service.

Celebrated sister's birthday. The food was fabulous. We started with the Ceviche. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was delicious ! We also had carnitas tacos and a wonderful fish meal. The margarita was refreshing. The staff was great and very attentive. They even treated my sister to a delicious ice cream dessert. And everyone sang happy birthday to her. We will definitely return for another fabulous meal.

Good for pre concert Paramount or Fox meal. Large portions though. We shared a salad and entree and it was still more than we could finish.

Agave Uptown is a great place for lunch. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Our waiter was attentive and very helpful. Overall, a delicious and enjoyable experience. Extra points for having vegetarian options.

Excellent experience at Agave. The service was friendly, attentive and knowledgable. The cocktails are creative and delicious, and the food is off the charts. Not your typical Americanized Mexican, authentic moles and flavors, we loved it all! Great ambiance too, lively but not too loud.

The food was excellent. They have a wonderful variety of mole. Attentive service. My only concern was that the drinks were on the weak side.

The food is inconsistent. Some are delicious, others not so much. The tortillas do not have the "freshly made" texture and consistency that I hoped for. It is very LOUD in the restaurant. You can not carry on a conversation with the people in front of you.

Great food and even better service. Quick dinner prior to a comedy show and the nearby Paramount Theatre. Will DEFINATELY visit again.

Perfect fancy date idea! From the minute you arrive you see beautiful glass walls and fancy seating! Greeted immediately with staff and seated with lemon water! Each item is packed with amazing unforgettable flavors from the appetizers, main courses, desserts and drinks! Really enjoyed myself and highly recommend!

Stellar. Run, don't walk. Outstanding food and experience in downtown Oakland. A bit stingy on the dessert portions, but everything else is incredible.

Food: tacos were good Friend had a chicken dish, that was $27-29 and it was sooo dry, only a small piece was edible. I felt bad since I had picked the restaurant. My enchiladas were smothered with jack cheese on top, weird to have it that heavy. Skimpy on the beef, tiny little morsels. Carnitas were good. Red sauce good. Nachos were abysmal. Black beans and some queso fresco scattered on top, 15 chips max on the flat plate. Never had such bad nachos! $10 for happy hour. Charged for a medium plate of tortilla chips, $5..nothing special ! Their tortillas were housemade, which was good. They charged 20% gratuity for a party of six. Had to keep asking for water refill. Went inside to ask for the check, again went in to hand him the signed bill, mind you had given the server plenty of time. Overall, I'd never go back unless for Happy Hour, and only for maybe the 2 taco plate. There are far too many "authentic" mexican restaurants to visit.

Mole was delicious. Want to try the seafood dishes next time. Nice space with indoor/outdoor seating.
