I got old white toast and tiramisu.
The white toast I had was definitely left over from last night. It tastes like cardboard. The Tiramisu looked modh. I bought two ($13) and throw me away.
I don't want to confront the store over my experiences. Just want to out my two cents. I am not going back.
TOO PRICECY
2-3x the price of the bakeries nearby (1-2 street away).
Cakes often frozen, not fresh. I had taste some mild fridge & cleaning (dish soap?) Taste from the cake. Cost around $6 for a small piece of cake.
Even though they have coupons and other promotions on the app. The cost is still quite a lot consider the portion and freshness of the pastries.
Not a lot of variety in buns, pastry.
They do have a male cashier that speaks English fluently and they have sandwiches options so I guess is a decent place for occasionally getting something.
If is for Chinese buns, looking elsewhere offers better value. (They speak limited English tho).
Not a super busy place so okay if coming for a quick lunch.

Such cute and yummy drinks and really nice concept!
What brought us to this place was not only because it was on the way to our destination (which a lot of boba places were too), but because of how creative the names of the drinks are which they were all Alice and Wonderland themed! Everyone also loved their drinks and it was certainly delicious. The staff were very kind especially in asking us clarifying questions for our drinks since we ordered it online and wanted it to be perfect for us.
As we waited, we browsed around the cafe since they also carried bakery items. I ended getting the pizza bread which went well with my drink!
Will definitely drop by when we are in the area again!

Everything I tasted was amazing! Cakes were really delicious and sweetness was just right, not too sweet and felt really fresh ! Japanese cheese cake was incredible too !
I also tried Hong Kong milk tea and it was so rich in taste, I was impressed. Plus my top recommendation for those who like shrimps, they make super good shrimp burgers with a real shrimp patty that they make themselves, it tasted juicy delicious!

This place is a gem! Really tasty and well priced burgers; good drink collection and freshly baked cakes and baked goods. It’s almost like a fusion of traditional Chinese and western baking techniques; also they make beautiful custom cakes. The area is safe and quiet don’t let Oaklands rep scare you away!

I usually come to Alice Street Bakery Cafe for their baked goods and boba drinks. Yesterday I had discovered that they sell popcorn chicken!! My niece loves their version! Their popcorn chicken is super hot and tender! Now we have a reason to go back! 😋

Ordered a custom cake from Alice with 5working days’ notice. Not only was the cake beautiful and delicious, they worked with me at every step to design the cake, decide the structure that best matched what I wanted (including different options for edible printing). Super responsive, we worked over the phone and text, and it was so easy to do. Will order again!!

Loved the Mango mousse cake
Tea: I had never had Hong Kong style tea before, so I ordered it without sweetness, but the helpful woman at the counter asked if I was familiar with it, and since I was not, she advised that it would be bitter, so she suggested that we start with 25% sweetness, and add more incrementally, if preferred. This was an excellent suggestion because it is quite strong, and was helped along with about another 15%, I believe. That was the nicest tea drink I've had in quite a while, so I'll definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.
Food: I didn't order any, but they have many sandwiches and savory buns to choose from. Most have meat, but I saw one cheese version, and the bagels have a vegan cream cheese option.
Sweets: Many, many options, including soft sweet breads, which I prefer due to them being lower in sugar than most bakery options.
LOOOVE this place !! The decor is adorable and I love their packaging ! The cups are also reusable which I'm a big fan of :D
The sandwiches are sooo good and they have super good pastries at a good price 💕
They forgot the boba in my drink. They charged 0.60 cents for boba and forgot my boba. Their drinks are in the middle and not too good not bad either. Went here many times and when i ordered some drinks I could tell that they weren’t freshly made sometimes. Overall i rate this place a 3.5/5.
Cookies are really good! Worth trying.
