We have visited a couple of times and will definitely continue to come back. Henry, the owner, is very kind, knowledgeable, and creates a welcoming atmosphere. There is a great selection of rotating California wines (N/A as well!) and the space and staff are very dog friendly. A new Jack London neighborhood gem!
A very warm and inviting space to catch up with friends after work and weekends, with an added touch of specializing specifically in wines produced locally right here in California. You can tell that the guy who runs the place, Henry, is genuinely passionate about the wine industry as well as possessing a wealth of knowledge about the industry. If you've read this much then there's no question you should check Alta Vina out.
Great local shop with an excellent selection of California wines. Henry takes pride in what he does and it shows. The atmosphere is perfect for enjoying wine, whether you come alone, bring a date, gather with friends, or just pop in to grab a bottle.
