Aunt Mary's was on my short list of places that I wanted to go to because of their high ratings, and they did not disappoint. All four dishes that my family and I ordered tasted very good. All of the staff, including our server, were very kind and accommodating. If there was one knock however on the experience, it would be that we felt like we were unattended to for most of the time. For most places who specialize in breakfast, as Aunt Mary's does, 3 minutes usually doesn't pass between staff asking you if you want a refill of coffee. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here, and I had to search for somebody whenever we needed something. Nevertheless, I believe that was probably a one-off, considering how kind everybody was, and will definitely come back again.
Amazing. Friendly service. Always busy and no reservations but very much worth the wait. I recommend the Pain de Perdue and lemon ricotta pancakes! Wash it down with a guava or cider mimosa.
Outstanding selection of breakfast options. Big portions, friendly waitstaff, and delicious food. Do future you a solid and get an extra biscuit to go.
This was my first visit in quite some time. The wait was very reasonable. They are seating an amount of tables they are able to serve well. The service is good. The food is tasty. The weekend brunch specials that we tried were good. Espresso drinks and alcoholic drinks good as well. Happy we came here for brunch!
We went here for mother's day and had a really nice brunch! They accommodated us faster than the wait-list suggested, I also always appreciate a wait-list that let's you wander and texts you when ready! We ordered a little bit of everything and everyone was super happy with their meal. My daughter said the pancakes were the fluffiest she's had! We were sat outside which was super cute and very warm despite it being windy outside.
The food was amazing! I truly enjoyed the service and how quickly we were seated. The waffles were so fluffy, the potatoes were delicious (beautiful seasoning) and the pancakes were very flavorful! All in all, I would come back again!
Great breakfast spot! The pain perdue is a surprisingly big portion, definitely shareable.
Everything we had here for brunch was delicious. The ham and gruyere omelette, the lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote, and of course the pain Purdue! Everything was cooked to perfection and every bite was bursting with flavor. Even though we had to wait a short while to be seated it wasn't bad, especially for a Saturday. I would definitely go back.
We ate here today and the food was very good and so was the service. we got seated very quickly and once we ordered our food was out soon after. The fruit tasted fresh and the bacon was nice and crispy. The biscuits and gravy was very good and flavorful it did not need salt or pepper added and we like how they grilled the biscuit. The pancakes were tasty and soft, the toppings made them even better!!
This is the all time most amazing place for brunch! Never had a meal I didn't love and always hard to choose!!

Finally had a chance to try this spot and it has quickly became a new favorite breakfast spot. The chai latte was tasty, winter veggie omelette with grits and a flaky homemade biscuit with jam did not disappoint!
My review is primarily about the sassy waitress the helped us..I believe her name was Camille. I wanted to make it clear that the issue was not with our initial server but the one who finished with us. We ordered the shrimp and grits and it was not to our liking. We got the attention of the sassy waitress (not our initial one) and told her that it was “fishy”. After informing her she said ok I’ll be right back. After some time she came back and tells us “so it’s not the shrimp, it’s not fishy”. Sort of implying to bad so sad. I was curious and asked the sassy waitress what is the typical protocol if someone dislikes their food ..and she kept saying oh we can’t comp your food and it’s funny because at no point did we ask for free food but as a waitress it would have been nice if she had offered an alternative such as ordering something else instead of me prying it out of her. We’ve handed her our credit cards and after this back and forth she’s like”oh do you want something else?” Use some common sense ..had you asked at the time of us informing you that it was not to our liking , then yes I would have preferred something else, but I’m about to pay and still hungry so no bad timing! She goes, “oh well I’m sorry you don’t want anything else. To top it off she asks if we’d like to go’s for our food that we didn’t want. I would have considered trying this place again but I can’t do the servers job and she was not friendly or helpful and it sucks to not go back because of sub par service. Take care Aunt Mary and staff.
This wonderful, friendly little restaurant is right on the edge of Temescal. They serve a great breakfast and lunch. Their omelets are particularly sumptuous. The special while we were there was an omelet stuffed with sweet potatoes, mushrooms, leeks and other good stuff. The eggs were light and fluffy and the portion was large enough to have left overs. The thick sliced 10-grain toast was excellent as was the fresh fruit salad. Definitely worth a visit!
We have already adopted this restaurant into our family. I doesn't matter weather there's an event not we'll always come here because we're too busy to cook. From time to time, we'll get takeout from here. We've always found the stuff to be extremely courteous and attentive. The food is always delicious as well as the prices. I specially loved their chicken waffles.
Aunt Mary's is one of my favorite breakfast spots. They make THE BEST shrimp and grits I have ever had. The food comes out fast and hot. Although they may be a little understaffed in the front of the house, which affects their ability to be attentive to guest needs but they make up for it with kindness.
