I don’t know how anyone gives this bad reviews, it’s so good! I was skeptical about no lactose ice cream but the flavors were rich without being too sweet. Cookie dough flavor was my favorite.

Super mixed emotions! Really good ice cream bc of the toppings and mix in. The ice cream itself is not quite smooth or creamy as it can be.

For a place called “Bad,” they sure do deliver! It’s so bad. Like honestly just really bad ice cream. They do a good job of putting a lot of stuff (cookies, etc.) into the ice cream, which I like, but the ice cream is extremely salty and just, well… bad :/ With Humphry Slocombe and Tara’s within walking distance, I don’t understand why you would ever come here. You’ll have a better time just going into Trader Joe’s across the street to get ice cream that isn’t the worst of your life.

I really enjoyed grabbing some ice cream here at Bad Walter's. I believe there is a rotating selection of flavors and the time I went, want too blown away by the options but I did walk away getting great service and a generous helping. I am eager to come back and give it another try. Great how convenient it is to Rockridge station!

Now ice cream is something I don’t play about, and Bad Walter’s? Absolute banger. So darn good. So many good flavors. If you haven’t tried it, definitely do!!!!

BAD WALTER’S IS THE BEST ICE CREAM STORE OF ALL TIME!
here’s why: 1. The ice cream- smooth, creamy, super flavorful, and most of all EXCITING FLAVORS! They just don’t miss. Every flavor I have tried has been absolutely delicious, even if it’s not “my” kind of flavor (I’m a chocolate/caramel girl or bust, but their fruit flavors are delicious too). Some of them have been truly sublime, top tier scoops of my whole life (I eat a lot of ice cream and seek it out everywhere I go). They go heavy on the mix-ins and yet the flavors are never overly sweet- I never get that awful sugar rush feeling after eating it. There’s not a bunch of flavors at one time but they change the flavors every week so it keeps it exciting and keeps us coming back regularly! Also I’m not lactose intolerant but appreciate that people who are get to enjoy the most delicious ice cream!
2. The vibes- cool spot, and pretty much everyone who works there is super friendly. Not only are they always chill about letting us try flavors (the whole point of visiting an ice cream store vs buying at the store imo), sometimes they even offer us specific ones to try I wouldn’t have gone for on my own.
3. It’s a neighborhood spot! Local small business and you can tell they care about their product/customers. also they have a reward card that’s actually good!
