Friend bought me a chocolate croissant pastry to enjoy with my coffee from this artisanal pastry shop known for its exceptionally flaky, handcrafted laminated doughs and signature (which they ran out of) Kouign Amann, because he went to vibrant Rockridge neighborhood just before closing.
It had quality chocolate tucked into the center of the very buttery, flaky croissant layers rather than being heavily distributed throughout.
