Great little coffee outpost but also doubles as the best and healthiest eatery for blocks around. The burritos are reasonably sized and only cost $5, and there are even special healthier vegetarian muffins from Firebrand Bakery down the street. And of course the coffee rules!

Went in for a cup of coffee and to work with my laptop. The whole place generally looks forsaken. There's WiFi but it wasn't working. No sockets anywhere. I went up to an upper floor hopping I could find a nice place to sit, but then a guard scolded me I wasn't supposed to go there. There was no sign saying that.

The coffee is solid and a local favorite. It's not third-wave coffee though - so don't expect single-origin offerings, cortados, latte art, and fruity/complex espresso. This is a second-wave coffee shop, and although, I was slightly disappointed to find out they didn't serve cortados - I realized, hey this ain't SF, you're in ~Oakland~. I loved the vibe of this place. I think the news tends to extrapolate how sketch and dangerous Oakland is, but there's some really great, walkable parts. This coffee shop location is one of them. In this coffee shop, you'll see lots of hipsters in their mid-thirties coming from a work out class or morning run/ride, dressed in eclectic but stylish gorp-fashion. There's not much seating inside. Maybe a few tables for parties of two. There's a couple tables outside too, but it's close to some shipping bays - and parking looked difficult around here. The lattes are great, if you like dark, nutty espresso. I thought they steamed the milk quite well here too. 5/5 stars

The very best MOCHA this former Chef has enjoyed since I was in Florence, Italy! Happily surprised. *hint* They use TORANI chocolate and their own roasted combination of two coffees. Just superb!

Bicycle Coffee finally moved across the street to their bigger location. I love it. I don't know why, but the coffee taste better over there too. I've been going to BC for about two years now. I only found it because I was walking down second on my way to Starbucks and the smell caught my attention. The woman walked past me (from the warehouse location) and all I spelled was chai. I asked her what she had and she told me a Dirty Chai Latte. Since then, this has been my go-to weekend spot for coffee. I order a Dirty Chai Latte with Oat Milk. I've had it both hot and cold and I honestly think they make it best hot. Last weekend I tried their food for the first time. I got a sausage burrito warmed. It was good, but something was missing. They should offer hot sauce or something to go with it. Nevertheless, some things to consider...1. The line is long, but it moves pretty fast. Don't let it deter you. 2. The food from the fridge is pretty good. you grab it, pay for it and ask to have it heated if that's what you desire. 3. They don't (it wasn't offered to me at least) have any hot sauce or condiments for their food. It taste a little bland without condiments.4. The customer service is hit or miss depending on who is working.5. This coffee shop is electronic payment only. No cash.6. I paid about $11 for a large coffee and a burrito. - so yes, it can be pricy, but the coffee is really good.

Iced vanilla latte with macadamia milk is just as good as it was when I went a year ago. It's sweet and the coffee flavor really comes through. $4.50 for a cup full of goodness (and no extra charge for alt milk? Outrageous). Also, they were playing really good coffee shop music when I visited. Would be a super great place to chill, study, and catch up with friends. :)

07/02/23 Saturday 10:45am. Came in on the Amtrak a few blocks away, and we had some time to kill before our flight. So we wandered around a bit. Came across this jumping coffee place. The neighborhood was otherwise closed, as it was a lazy Saturday vibe. Staff is outstanding! Had a dirty chai, I appreciate that they didn't give a ton of ice and very little actual drink I am lookin at you Starstrucks. Ordered a couple of Mochi donuts as they were buy one get one. Not super sweet which is a plus. Also ordered a pollo empanada. It came out piping hot! Yes!! Unfortunately it was way way salty. My nephew had ordered the champiñones empanada and it wasn't that salty. I politely asked if they would exchange it for me, this was my before flight meal, and although I could stand to skip a meal. I was looking forward to some real food versus airport slop. The cool guy baking the empanadas was great and swapped out for me. Thanks so much dude!! 5/5 stars for food, atmosphere and service!

Caught Bicycle about to move between their old grungy digs and new fancy city fix, still fine as fresh for dealing half boxed up. Noticed a beautiful selection of treats, had to nibble an ube mochi cupcake. So good! My buddy's donut disappeared before we got our coffee! Wasn't an ideal only getting the tiny old menu, hopefully they got some specialty and seasonal brews ripe once moved in, my vanilla latte was fine, a bit dull but the rare macadamia milk helped. People the macadamia is the win for coffee, smooth and rich, no other compares even whole dairy. This is one of the better options for the area we having went through too many places with limited and southern cuisine menus that are great for a particular pallet.

Bicycle Coffee is a neat, casual coffee shop where you can quickly order and go. I went with a vanilla latte that was delicious as you can definitely taste the vanilla, but it wasn't too overpowering. Lattes here are about $4 and didn't notice any upcharge for milk tea, which is rare!Chill staff, good coffee, competitive price, and quick service. What's not to love

Delicious beans and beverages - exceeded only by customer service! We just opened our office nearby in San Leandro and I will be ordering Bicycle Coffee beans to keep everyone fueled and treated at the office. Looking forward to the new location just across the street with lots more seating and no doubt a great vibe as well!

I recently had the chance to visit an Oakland coffee shop with a bicycle theme, and overall I was pleased with my experience. The coffee was decent, with a good variety of roasts and brewing methods to choose from. The baristas were knowledgeable and friendly, and were happy to make recommendations based on my preferences. The coffee shop is somewhat newly opened, and it seems to be still finding its footing. There were a few hiccups during my visit, such as a longer-than-expected wait for my order, but overall the staff were friendly and apologetic and did their best to make sure I had a good experience. Overall, I would recommend this Oakland coffee shop to anyone who is a fan of cycling or just looking for a cozy spot to grab a decent cup of coffee. The bicycle theme is a nice touch, and the staff are friendly and attentive.

I was in the area and tried Bicycle Coffee based on a recommendation. I had seen a few people order and decided to give it a try. I ordered a decaf iced latte with half and half. Only $4 for 16 ounce coffee, count me in! My drink was promptly made. The first sip and I was blown away; it was perfect! The shop has a little space on the first floor of the building. There are a few tables and chairs if you want to enjoy your drink there or do some work. I wish they had more locations. I would definitely buy coffee from them every day!
