The coffee is solid and a local favorite. It's not third-wave coffee though - so don't expect single-origin offerings, cortados, latte art, and fruity/complex espresso. This is a second-wave coffee shop, and although, I was slightly disappointed to find out they didn't serve cortados - I realized, hey this ain't SF, you're in ~Oakland~. The very best MOCHA this former Chef has enjoyed since I was in Florence, Italy! Happily surprised. *hint* They use TORANI chocolate and their own roasted combination of two coffees. Just superb!
Bicycle Coffee finally moved across the street to their bigger location. I love it. I don't know why, but the coffee taste better over there too. I've been going to BC for about two years now. I only found it because I was walking down second on my way to Starbucks and the smell caught my attention. The woman walked past me (from the warehouse location) and all I spelled was chai.
