My friend took me here after her and her boyfriend came here. Funny enough, it’s also my name! Very great service and delicious coffee, will definitely come again.

My third time here. It's a great, spacious cafe. Warm with different kinds of seating. And a very welcoming space by the staff. Nice, safe BIPOC space as well. The music is great, but can be a little loud, but bring your headphones and it should be fine. Sit in the back of the cafe for a nice sofa experience and more warmth.

Everything about this place is amazing. Friendly and stylish atmosphere, fast and understanding workers, and of course delicious food and drinks!! I've always felt welcome Gere with my disabilities and being trans, no one even bats an eyelash and they are very respectful. A favorite spot for sure!!

My wife and I are in Oakland during my surgical recovery. On last Saturday evening, I went on a walk downtown and spotted Sana's café, and mentioned to my spouse that there was a coffee shop close by where we were staying. Earlier this afternoon we went ahead and tried it for the first time. The space seemed nice when we walked in, and so my spouse and I went ahead and ordered. The prices were definitely a lot higher than I expected but I also figured that would come with a larger serving size, so I got the superfood smoothie and my wife got one of their coffees. After we ordered we realized that the entire place was full. Like, there was nowhere to really sit and even have a table so that my spouse and I could chat. The place was completely packed.

In the end we ended up paying $19 for a medium sized coffee and a maybe 16oz smoothie, neither of which were very good at all, and we didn't even get a chance to really enjoy the establishment because everyone was doing their own thing and the entire place was completely packed (on a Monday late-morning) to the point that my spouse and I could not even sit with one another. I felt very uncomfortable in this coffee shop, even though I had really high hopes from the weekend before. Likewise, I just did not feel like it was an open and inclusive place for us, and we ended up staying for maybe 15 minutes here maximum as a consequence. Overall, I would not recommend this establishment. I feel that there is many other places that I wished I had spent my money instead of here.

My friend and I come here every weekend and order the iced pistachio and iced Yemeni lattes. There’s a young barista who’s usually making the drinks and he always gets them wrong. I ask them where my girl is at cause she always makes them realll gooood. I learned her name today Tala. Thank you so much for your service today and for always making them drinks hit the spot 😍 make sure she making your drinks she really put the effort and good service

I had an amazing experience at Sana Cafe, largely thanks to Tala, who was the star of the show! As soon as I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and a welcoming attitude. When I asked for her name, she kindly gave it to me, which I thought was a nice personal touch. Tala was clearly working hard — she was the one taking all the orders, handling the register, and making sure everything was running smoothly, while her coworkers seemed to be standing around, not doing much at all.

Sanaa Cafe is a nice spot, but they are clearly understaffed. Only two people were running the whole place when I visited, and you could see how hard they were working. They were both super friendly and welcoming, but the wait time was longer than expected.

I really think management should find a solution and bring in more staff, because the vibe and service are great — the team just needs more support to keep up.

Nice place t do work in with interesting desserts and pastries (from starter bakery it looks like), barista was super friendly but too bad my coffee was weirdly diluted/watery/muddy which has never happened before.

Chill atmosphere, good place to do some work, study, relax. Plenty of seating, I'm sure they get busy and with it full. Metered street parking is available, standard Oakland rates. Good coffee and food.

Definitely a place to get work done or have a quiet conversation. Not really a place to meet with a large group of people as it's more of a heads down get work done kind of atmosphere. The coffee itself was just OK - didn't really get hint of any spice in the Sanaa latte. The parking situation was good for Oakland on a weekend. Service was just OK.
