Nothing in the bay reminded me more of my southern upbringing more than the food at Brenda’s. Had the catfish along with mac n cheese and collard greens. Tasteful. Most of my friends got po boys and only heard good about them. Thanks Brenda
Real Louisiana style home cooking. Absolutely everything on the menu is good. Service is always stellar and the atmosphere is laid-back. My favorite place to go with friends. The beignets are so good. Worth it to go just for them.

Food: I ordered the shrimp and grits to eat in the restaurant. The grits were creamy and smooth with enough cheese to taste without over powering the dish. The shrimp were cooked perfectly (not chewey or rubbery). The cajun sauce was flavorful without being overly spicy. The tomatoes, onions and scallons that topped dish provide a sweet and cool balance to the dish...
