Average HK barbecue place. Their roast duck is good and tasty. Fish balls are okay but kind of overpriced. Their porridge is somewhat below average.

NOT RECOMMENDED ?Over priced food for a super small portion. The $40(plus tax is $45) for 3 dishes special comes in a very small portion of food. Not worth the money. That’s like $15 for one tiny dish. I would recommend another restaurant nearby which is $40 after tax, it comes in a full size portion of food and tastes way better than this restaurant!

When we come to Oakland C & M Bistro is one of the places we stop at. They have serve/sell some of my favorite foods like Roasted Pork Belly and BBQ pork so good! The service I am not fan of and I can say that because I have been here more than three times and it’s always the same. There’s always a line, when it’s your turn you gotta have your list ready, and if you don’t they’ll rush you. People tell me it’s the “culture” but I guess I am still not used to it.But I keep coming back because the food is good. The restaurant has a few tables so you can actually sit and eat. The place needs a little TLC but it’s okay by me. The price is ok. I haven’t notice the price go up that much. It’s definitely affordable.

Went there for lunch. Very friendly people. I was the only "white person" there and had a "Western plate" rice with broccoli beef. It was delicious and an excellent value. I will eat there again.Parking: You park in basement of shopping complex.Wheelchair accessibility: Should not be a problem.

Discrimination is how I feel. Ordered Peking Duck lunch plate, 2 sides and a pork rib to go. $29 and no rib in the bag. And duck was all bone, back and ribs, no meat at all. Eggplant was floating in oil, leaking everywhere.

They usually have a long line due to good price. Their anniversary special, $7.2 for a bowl, is a steal! The meat was good and I'm happy with take outNever dined in but I heard service is not that good.

This is one of my top favorites in the area. You can wait in line at the front for take out or you can dine in. The harsh reality is the lines is long sometimes.I usually come get a lunch box. It comes with a thick scoop of rice. A scoop of broccoli and your choice of protein : Duck,Chicken,Pork and then there are other entrees they have as well if you want .They also sell proteins by the pound.

My wife is from China and we often eat here, sometimes with her parents. The food is really excellent, we all agree. And authentic to South-East China, where they are from. Service is fast and friendly. The decor is very simple and the prices are less than most other Chinese restaurants (many of which don't match C&M's taste and quality.)Oakland's Chinatown has really picked up since the end of the COVID crisis. The restaurant is usually busy, very busy today since the larger restaurant upstairs in the complex is closed on TuesdaysIt is in an enclosed complex with other shops, banks, offices, and a public library branch on the first two floors and apartments above that. There is parking on three basement floors and the elevator takes you right outside the restaurant. It always feels safe, lots of people of all ages shopping or just hanging around sitting in the sun.Lots of people shopping in Chinatown or working there go to C&W for lunch and eating there feels like being part of the community. I have never been there at dinnertime. You probably wouldn't want to take someone to dinner there on a date or have a big family party. They don't have the big round tables for that anyway. But go upstairs to the other restaurant for those things.Parking: You can park downstairs in a public garage. The price is reasonable.

Delicious bbq for a somewhat decent price. The place is loud and be ready to call your server, because they won't come to you unless you call on them. Good, but probably not coming back.

Horrible. We asked the waitress for some water for our kids, but one of the cups had a bug in one of them. We got another, there was scratches on that. Food was OK, but soup tasted weird in lunch special. Go to Gum Kuo next door for better food. Horrible.

Fairly typical Chinatown restaurant, with a good selection of takeout meats as well. The menu has an unusually large selection of jook/congee.

Sitting in this establishment I love the energy and the FOOD. I am just coming in after a long travel from Costa Rica. In town and I stumbled upon this spot. The food was hot, tasty, and fresh ! Kind and swift service to boot.

Advertising closing at 6pm. Walked in at 5:15pm. I was told only available food are from the BBQ. What a joke! I immediately walked over next store. They were still accepting customers till the last second. That's how you do business. No wonder they are more busy than this one. Will never eat there again.
